@phil562
The part about salary at the end I've seen that a lot How do you avoid answering it when it's asked?
Comment from : @phil562

@brucetjetrick9728
Reason for leaving is a bit tricky Lying is almost borderline to some In other words, it's almost always contingent upon the interviewer Overthinking could be disastrous as well Also, who's observing and enforcing the laws in this hiring process? How will you know what the reasons are for getting denied employment? A lot of times these days, I couldn't even get an answer on whether or not they have already moved on from me It's like the interview process never took place In filling the application form online, sometimes you can't just leave something blank or put "not applicable" Sometimes it will force you to write something down, may it be desired salary, number of years of experience, etc Otherwise, you're stuck brbrBottom line, in general, it's much more complicated now Like the video stated, it's like navigating a mine field

@supermutharunna3118
It's simple Keep your private life private

@D2228D
How can you not tell somebody your age when there is many ways or questions that they can ask you and if you answer it just like what’s your birthday I mean right there you can’t not put it How do you get out of saying that you’d rather not say that’s not fair
Comment from : @D2228D

@D2228D
So it seems to me that no matter what you say they can find fault in it it’s on it is extremely hard cause you can’t be honest you don’t want to lie Oh, you’re in it for a paycheck because yeah, you need to make a paycheck or let’s say you want a second job doesn’t mean that you’re not passionate whenever I work for a company I’ll give it 100 whether I have two jobs for one job It doesn’t matter so I just think that they’re kind of judgmental I think that I would get a second interview I would circle with the person said, and I would ask him to elaborate so that I can make the right judgment instead of just assuming oh well this person is not gonna fit they don’t fit in that box
Comment from : @D2228D

@bsykesbeats4013
@8:40 I'm curious about disclosing disabilities, because although my initial impulse was to not disclose any non-relevant disabilities, I saw a company noting that they are required to hire a certain percentage of people with disabilities, so could it help to disclose disabilities for that reason?
Comment from : @bsykesbeats4013

@aldipragantha
LOL yes, i never exposed every points that you described hahaha
Comment from : @aldipragantha

@bobgoldberg4773
If the interviewer speaks too fast, get up and leave
Comment from : @bobgoldberg4773

@amay167
Sadly, I revealed why I am leaving my current role I told them there is no room for growth with this current employer I have been working for 3 years and she was shocked that I had a pay rise in 3 years
Comment from : @amay167

@emilywawira7060
If asked your age, do you lie?
Comment from : @emilywawira7060

@natashac5861
Do you know if people who work for state quit job and they have still sick days and floating holiday and vacation time will it be paid after you quit on your last paycheck? Or sick time will be just gone and never cashed 💸?
Comment from : @natashac5861

@dianesharp7807
I screwed up by mentioning my ADHD I used it as a positive, as in I overorganize as compensation The owner of the company shared she also had ADHD and I thought I was in the clear I did not get a call back
Comment from : @dianesharp7807

@disgruntledtoons
Every reason for leaving a job can be interpreted as a red flag
Comment from : @disgruntledtoons

@msameliaapplewhite5539
What about employers asking for dates of graduation?🤦🏽‍♀️
Comment from : @msameliaapplewhite5539

@awhitakersr784
What about disclosing having a felony on your background ? It’s for possession, nothing violent or white collar

@Nanook128
The sharing your salary, if you know you're being underpaid would it be advantageous to lie about your salary and inflate it in order to get them to pay you more?
Comment from : @Nanook128

@mudasarussainhussain6189
Huge shoutout for creating this hosting tutorial! Ive examined HostGator and DreamHost, however Cloudways with TST20 coupon is the final saver
Comment from : @mudasarussainhussain6189

@GIboy1990
Ive been denied a hire because i serve in the army national guard Of course i cant prove it
Comment from : @GIboy1990

@bc-guy852
I'm not subscribing to your channel because: you ask for a subscription / like / etc, before I've seen your presentation, your episode seems to be mostly self-promotion and pitching courses and the points in this episode - about what NOT to answer - - ignores the fact that most (if not all) of those questions - are illegal to ask in the first place!! They are in Canada anyway
Comment from : @bc-guy852

@CrystaTiBoha
Interviews are like police interrogation: adversarial attempts to get you to incriminate yourself An examination whether you can merely pretend to answer, the only actual answers being what they'd want to hear if they wanted to hire somebody
Comment from : @CrystaTiBoha

@georgekrause5661
I was asked once during an interview whether I was married or in a relationship, which I confirmed The interviewer replied that they prefer people who do not have any other commitments in life brbrI happily skipped that one
Comment from : @georgekrause5661

@davidfrank3728
What if you don't want promoted! I just had an interview, and laying out their career path for my position , autocad drafter was after a few years i would be promoted to project manager, handling five to ten homes Ah NO i have no desire for that position or headaches I am just a drafter i guess rolling my eyes at that path might of hurt my chances
Comment from : @davidfrank3728

@IcicleFerret
Maybe I'm just a contrarian but I feel weirdly compelled to point out; companies make interviews difficult bin part/b because hiring an employee is very costly, unless it's for some mom and pop operation A company has to dedicate a lot of time to setting up the tax and legal forms, getting things squared with benefits providers, (insurance, retirement, etc,) and verifying any additional credentials (How do you know someone is really forklift certified?) A person's salary also isn't the entirety of what the company pays, as the company also has to pay for things like unemployment insurance and matching 401k contributions They really don't want to spend those resources on someone who's going to quit in one month And it's also a risk to the company to hire someone If they hire someone who isn't honest, that person could steal from the company, defraud customers, or in some other way hurt the company's ability to stay in business All it takes is one bad actor to ruin it for everyone, and one really bad actor to take down the company
Comment from : @IcicleFerret

@roseq536
The issue I kept running into was trying to walk that dental floss fine line of not intimidating my interviewer while trying to also be confident that I know my craft With these stupid panel/group interviews you run the risk of having someone not being on board w your personality and what you bring to the team It’ll either sink you or you’ll get lucky and wow the entire panel
Comment from : @roseq536

@matiche
Only passionate about is paycheck don't care about any job other than that
Comment from : @matiche

@romaneaugustin2462
So stupid I wonder who came with all these craps The more I listened the more I am convinced I should make my own business brThink about it Why would a programmer need to talk as a salesperson or a house representative?brbrI am guessing Stephen Hawkin, would never pass a job interview
Comment from : @romaneaugustin2462

@hkmusc
In Hong Kong job market, many employers are curious about the current salary of job applicants, and some of them even ask the job applicants to state their current salary in their résumés Definitely using one's current salary to determine the one's salary for the next job would be unfair to the job candidates As a job seeker, how could I skilfully evade this?
Comment from : @hkmusc

@VioFax
Narcs always win these sort of mind games Normal people like us have to watch a tutorial on how to lie
Comment from : @VioFax

@VioFax
Don't say ANYTHING negative about ANY old job you havew ever had no matter HOW bad it was YOU ALWAYS LOVE YOUR JOB AND EVERYONE YOU WORKED WITH> LIE about this one Just do it The old place will smear you right back Even if you weren't at fault brAt the end of the day this is a game of deception
Comment from : @VioFax

@vikastiwari6780
Agree with your point Thanks for sharing
Comment from : @vikastiwari6780

Comment from : @holysoldier7485

@thehuntress8850
What do you do if you had to call the labor commission on your Employer, because they cheated you on thousands of dollars of back pay There is that question, " can we contact your last employer" ? I fear retaliation
Comment from : @thehuntress8850

@A_New_Reality
If asked 'what is your current salary' what do you think of this following response? 'That's sensitive data under the Data Protection Act so I can't legally disclose it, but I can disclose my salary expectations of X based on research conducted on Glassdoor'
Comment from : @A_New_Reality

@user-hk2lz9fu4h
no 1 I'm not an asshole licker 9 more times
Comment from : @user-hk2lz9fu4h

@Fabrizio_79
I see no problem in revealing my actual salary Recruiters always ask for it, and I answer truthfully about my actual salary and my desired salary for my future job I'm working for money of course, if they can meet my request we can proceed to the technical interview
Comment from : @Fabrizio_79

@mikes_5_cent
If tenure is 3 years, and the new hire is pregnant, won't that cut out a noticeable portion of that 3 years ?
Comment from : @mikes_5_cent

@robhines2235
I'm perfectly fine with the company I'm at, but I have companies trying to get me to come to work for them
Comment from : @robhines2235

@bigshitassholevee-qk5sy
Should I shave to make a good impression?
Comment from : @bigshitassholevee-qk5sy

@jonathansneed6960

Comment from : @jonathansneed6960

@honorablejay
So here's a scenario that I'm currently in: How do I answer the question why am I leaving my current job properly when presented with these issues:br1 My company has removed all options of growth, going so far as to hiring contractors for positions I qualify forbr2 All opportunities for training/personal growth have been removedbrKinda seems like a no-win situation when being interviewed when these are the reasons you'd have to explain
Comment from : @honorablejay

@LukeIcardMusic
Even at 34 im struggling finding a job after I got laid off Old enough to have experience at many different skills but old enough to need health insurance from an employer And if they dont have health insurance provided its probably a terrible place to work
Comment from : @LukeIcardMusic

@dougtaylor7724
I find it hard to believe people have trouble finding work brIn the southeast US if you will show up, you will get a job We generally offer a job to four people before one takes it brThe first three won’t answer the phone or just never show up
Comment from : @dougtaylor7724

@zhumusic-ng9tr
Also breathing, remeber everyone dont fking breath or the recruiter might think youre not about that life and take that as weakness 😜
Comment from : @zhumusic-ng9tr

@emiliog4432
What about the flip side? When you’re asked strange questions or totally irrelevant questions What about getting interviewed by several people at one time Why do they need 4 people to interview someone?
Comment from : @emiliog4432

@funky_gold_medusa
Another thing interviewers do is tell you the interview will be a conversation but it ends up being akin to the inquisition
Comment from : @funky_gold_medusa

@telebiopic
7:38 they penalize candidates who stayed long at their previous jobs yet are seeking candidates who see themselves 10 years in the new company
Comment from : @telebiopic

@rickjohnson3215
Here is a little advice for retired folks looking for a part time job When I interviewed with a large grocery store chain, my resume showed a lot of experience in the field and they jumped at asking me if I was interested in management I let them know that I was retired, explaining that I had the department managers job, I had the store managers job, I even had the owners job but I was retired I quickly followed that up with that I enjoyed working with people and that I would be very happy being their gunnery sergeant and help train their new people in that store’s practices which I happen to have been familiar with as a customer They jumped at the prospect and I worked for them for five years until we moved out of the area
Comment from : @rickjohnson3215

@IbbyMI786
Some countries we have Identity numbers instead of Social Security numbers This has one's date of birth in it So age can be given away without the interview
Comment from : @IbbyMI786

@Victoriaearth143
I have a medical condition that won't drive How can I answer that interview That is the only part of the job I can't do
Comment from : @Victoriaearth143

@MM-ig1iv
How to know when you are over qualified? That would be a good one to discuss I understand the interview and your resume are the most important of landing a job But know your worth! Your skills, Negotiate your pay! Especially if it's a job offer they should ask you how much you want? Shoot higher They'll probably go a dollar under but be reasonable of course Know what you should be getting and the bare minimum But ask for a little over that Worked out for me
Comment from : @MM-ig1iv

@DaveC2729
I, sadly, am that long-winded person I can't entirely help that Aside from trying to force myself to shut up, are there any ways I can work around this drawback?
Comment from : @DaveC2729

@MultiNakir
Remember guys, be a machine and practice to ge over a stupid subjective test that is impossible to work for 100 of the times 😂😂😂😂
Comment from : @MultiNakir

@richardwelsh305
how do you not disclose your age when every application asks for your high school education information including graduation date?
Comment from : @richardwelsh305

@ActiveAdvocate1
Medical issues? Well I'm f*cked I can't not disclose I walk into the room with my white cane
Comment from : @ActiveAdvocate1

@triasy2818
one thing that is really the best to keep off from interview which I have is that I go throught a medical proces and in like 5 months Ill have a surgery and I will be bedriden for two weeks in hospital and two weeks stay at home recovery also I go every two months for description for medications so never mention something like this because they will probably think like oh this person will be one day off every two months and than for an entire month I don't like that Thanks to that you get played to reveal your personal information and that will be another reason for them not to hire you I work now nearly two years for one company and everything works just fine and like any other job there are good days and bad days
Comment from : @triasy2818

@michaelpinon238
Thanks!
Comment from : @michaelpinon238

@kalinadesseaux8011
I would liken the interview process to the Barbie speech in the new Barbie film: you know the one About what women (what applicants, in this point) bhave/b to be
Comment from : @kalinadesseaux8011

@SaveThatMoney411
They'll be able to see how old you are in the interview so
Comment from : @SaveThatMoney411

@watup110875
they will hire or they will fkg not, FK THEIR GAMES
Comment from : @watup110875

@nuffdoggiggey4103
If you can't be yourself, it's not worth any amount of money brbrIt's NOT FUNNY how before you get hired, HR is already Micro Managing you, i can amagine the co workers youll be working with RED FLAG brbrOver 4 decades of work experience, I never had to have a recruiterbrbrYou got it, or you dont
Comment from : @nuffdoggiggey4103

@GodiscomingBhappy
dont saybr- personal info (over share)br- real reason you want to leave your companybr- that you need any job (desperate)br- your agebr- How many years you plan to work for (they can guess your age)br- medical issuesbr- Disabilitiesbr- political beliefsbr- previous salary
Comment from : @GodiscomingBhappy

@BGTuyau
Message: It's still all red flags and deal-breakers You're guilty until proven innocent Reveal nothing and just don't bother
Comment from : @BGTuyau

@marvelmusic4566
As a recruiter, wouldn't you want someone placed that is going to leave in 5years? It's prospective future business
Comment from : @marvelmusic4566

@CrisGarcia6
When it comes with job interviews, I think we should be compensated because it takes time and gas
Comment from : @CrisGarcia6

@Number6_
The best plan is to have no plan! So if your still in this job after 2 or 3 years your a failure So what is your 5 year plan for this job? To not be here you say; so you have no real commitment to this position we are hiring for, hummm We are really looking for a go getter who is going to settle
Comment from : @Number6_

@hustlenbudgetmum1588
Do you have any tips if you are applying for a position in a company You already work and either in a different office or as a promotion
Comment from : @hustlenbudgetmum1588

@jeremiahhall2281
Great tips!!! Thank you very much for sharing this information with us!! 12:08
Comment from : @jeremiahhall2281

@kirm8137
Only in our twisted world would you be discounted because you're "overly eager" But yep, that has bit me in the behind more than once I wasn't desperate for work The position excited me and I let the "overly eager" come out Now I'd just love to retire and get out of clown world
Comment from : @kirm8137

@crstarkey
I've been asked, nearly every screen: "what's your minimum salary? and or "what's your current salary range?" When I ask them what their salary is, they always say, "I'll have to defer that to the hiring manager as I don't know those details" I know as a hiring manager, everyone in the chain knows the range
Comment from : @crstarkey

@watchthe1369
I am sick and tired of "Passion" I am simply looking for gainful work to take care of my needs and hobbies for an extended time I have met most of my goals and want a stable income to meet the rest
Comment from : @watchthe1369

@Outergain
Question: can a company fire u if you are open for a job? I wonder because yeah
Comment from : @Outergain

@marjorymsuku9312
A copy of your payslip is a standard request for all applications with recruiters and potential employers - and so quite hard not to reveal your current salary at the interviewbrbrOtherwise, good advice and elaboration here!👍
