There is Absolutely no Benefit By doing this with Coco! Your turning the coco into a living soil! Just making it hard on your selves with watering more! At least with soil you can get more microbes living Like from worm castings! Coco is good for a drip or flood system That's were it shines! And DONT TELL PEOPLE no More salts!!!! There is def A chance for salt Build up with Amendments! I get it you Learning But don't make VIDEOS PRETENDING YOU KNOW WTF YOUR TALKING ABOUT!

You can use any nutrients with Ocean Forestyou just have to use a smaller dose nutrients

Is the coco coir wet when you start to mix it, or does it need to be completely dry? Also do you have to dampen it after the first time, or do you leave it close for a few weeks?

Im VERY HAPPY you guys ran Coco, ewc, grow and flower fertilizerthat's alllll you need!!!! Maybe some gentle teas every 10 days of EWC, Seabird Guano, bat guano, alfalfa and kelp meal Couple tablespoons of molasses That's it, that alllll

I use earth dust also but i havent used it with coco They actually recommend that you don't use it with coco 😆 but its always what works for you that matters

I am planning to run a similar setup with additives to my coco You mentioned you mixed it and watered it prior to using it in your pots brbrDid you mix your coco mixture two weeks prior, watered it, and let it sit until you were ready for it or did you water it more often than just once? Any reason to not add any worm castings as I see a lot others use? Thank you!

I've been growing veggies in coco peat and perlite and hand watering nutrients with good success I would like to ditch the nutes but live in rural Thailand Does anyone have any advice on building living soil with base ingredients I can find ie azomite and mycorrhizae etccoco is abundant and cheap here

Its hard to get good organics here in the UK so I think adding horse manure or chicken manure in small amounts to composting may be an advantage, but there are always pros and cons

always PH your water, regardless if nutrients are available to plants, plants will only uptake nutrients at certain PH levels And unlike Ocean Forest, Coco does not have natural buffers to keep the water at 70

Roots Soilless is okay, but it’s super easy to make your own from the bricks That way you can add however much perlite you want and you can use other things instead of perlite as well that maybe better for your living soil, like biochar, hydro ton clay pellets, or rice hulls Not hating on Perlite, but if you get your own you can get the big chunky stuff from the grow shop instead of the little stuff they add to the premade soil mixes It’s also generally cheaper by volume if that’s a issue

Amend add your nutes and worm castings water at 62-68 and watch them grow you guy's shouldn't mess this up with lockouts and what not like all your other runs It's full proof add some recharge and brew some compost teas y'all should be good! It's about calculating the topdress
