Comment from : michael rollins

michael rollins
So the micro hdmi that hooks it up to the tv doesn’t come with the raspberry pi

Also, I'm adding, Nintendo DS runs great, of course The DS hardware isn't very strong The problem is just, that the emulator doesn't work with all games

I made the mistakeof buying one of those Wireless gamepad, you shouldnt have recommended it, it's a waste in the end i just used it for spare parts, its costs alot to get 2 of the others but it's worth it in the long run

Track Masters DJ Co
I purchased LABISTS Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Complete Starter PRO Kit with 32GB Micro SD Card (4GB RAM) I'd like to add only old school SNES, Genesis, and arcade games (from the 80s and 90s) How do i do that? Is it hard? I heard arcade roms need to be done with MAME What's the best way to accomplish all this?

Comment from : Lance Sorisho

Matt Jones
Hey there- I followed your steps with my son to build a Pi retro console, it all went really smoothly and he loves it so many thanks My question though- I'm having terrible lag with the N64, I've tried different emulators, I'm reluctant to overclock it and am not very technical I had wondered if performance is workable if I moved to a solid state flash drive instead of the SD drive, I even wondered if doing that and daisy chaining 2 Raspberry Pis was possible to boost performance Any thoughts on that, is it viable or would it not provide much improvement? Are there alternate videos around for that, as inevitably, Goldeneye is a key driver for me!
Comment from : Matt Jones

Craig Turner
How did you get the script working for the argon one pi 4 case I've tried on raspberry OS, Ubuntu and manjaro however I can't seem to get the script working in retropie!

Just a heads up on anyone building this in 2021 and wants to go with this case There is a new version of this case, the V2 It no longer needs an HDMI adapter, the daughterboard now has two regular HDMI ports on it

Comment from : Kevin Young

KitsuneDotExE
USB wired is better ♥ here is why :brbr(these are just my reasons just wanted to type this if it helps anyone 🦊♥ )brbr1) you don't EVER need to worry about external batteries (if it needs them)br2) u don't have to worry about battery replacements (if it dies out over time)br3) u don't need to worry about it dying mid gamebr4) the input lag is slightly less using Wire than using Bluetooth or WIFI (my personal fav reason)br5) u don't need to worry about first connection issues as its going directly into the systembr6) and lastly YOU DONT LOSE UR CONTROLLER OR CHARGING CABLE XD ♥♥♥

Lovely :) Do you have easy instructions to set up a controller again, say if you want to change your key combinations ? In what menu do you trigger this ? (Must be a quick way rather than writing your downloaded image to SD card again) Thx
Comment from : maxmixer

Kris Brooks
What if you don't want to erase the whole card and just copy it onto a card, so you don't have to keep swapping over cards?

Gregg Hernandez
This is without a doubt one of, if not the best tutorial for setting up a Raspberry Pi/Retro Pie build There are many of them out there, but what sets yours apart is the split screen when setting up the buttons for the controller With other tutorials it is done SO FAST that it is sometimes hard to follow I figured it out after a few trial and errors on my 1st Raspberry Pi 3 build so now it is pretty easy for me I am sure someone just getting into this hobby will really appreciate your patient and step by step way of teaching people how to set up their Pi You don't assume anyone knows anything which is really refreshing Thank you so much, and thanks for the recommendation on the case, it is really nice
Comment from : Gregg Hernandez

Dave Rowe
Nice M31 image, did you take it yourself?

mrrobvs
I'm using the newest Raspberry Pi (4b) and the newest Retropie and the newest Argone One (v2 with full size hdmi) I notice some menus are different I haven't enabled the power button yet, but my biggest question is whether or not the fan works the way it should without tinkering with anything? Without doing anything for the fan, I've heard it click on part time I think
Comment from : mrrobvs

Paul in MT
Thanks for the complete setup walk-thru Good job! Do you (or any commenters) notice a lag with wireless controllers? Seems like wireless controller lag might make it tough for fast-paced games I'd like opinions before I choose controllers Tnx!

Hello, i have an important question :brbrAbout adding Roms, if i understand well, i have to connect the Raspberry to my computer isn't it ? brbrI mean, i don't have to put only the sd card in my computer right ?brbrBy the way, Thank you veey much for the video, i'm going to but a raspberry 4 with a custom case
Comment from : Endji Infographiste

John Themelis
So what is the better path to take, dl an image and install? or, just install retropie, find the roms and load up on your own? I have only done the image, but there are so many games /system that i feel are just clutter, it might be better overall to just dl the systems i want and forego the pretty images :)
