It sounds to me like anyone that attempts to enter the market via load board to get work will probably go bust if they don't already have some kind of contact within a larger business Hauling cheap freight sounds like a losing game I am sure that the shippers are well aware of how much money it takes to run a start-up authority So, by extension, they can engineer the prices they are willing to pay for a load in such a manner that they know how much or a profit or loss that new authority will take Also, why would they want to take the risk of bringing an unknown trucking business online anyway? brbrDon't get me wrong, I am looking into this as a possible new start to my life, but simply buying equipment and going on a website to say you are open to taking on work seems too good to be true I don't know of any industry that is like that Lots of these places have an old boys network that is designed to keep the profits flowing into preferred vendors Comment from : @yhsbu |
