My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done wwwyoutubecom/post/UgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price Wrote review after the son took the bike Sorry

Nearly all of the riders around here don't go on the trails when it rains And for good reason It's not because we're a bunch of pushovers that can't handle getting wet or can't be bothered to put on some rain gear It's because we appreciate having the trails and don't want to ruin them by riding them when they're wet

Re Doddy: If the jacket’s waterproof isn’t it also windproof and if so why a windproof layer below the waterproof layer- -wouldn’t a base layer under the waterproof jacket suffice? I’m debating if I need waterproof attire Does waterproof MTB jackets make you overheat? Is there a better solution if Doddy’s feet still got wet w a waterproof layer? Yes it can North Texas trails are clay-laden and turn to peanut butter when it rains All the trails here are closed at the first hint of rain and take forever to dry out

Hell no I was in morzine 6 years ago it rained pretty much as soon as we got there we had all our dry tyres on ended up going to a local shop buying some wet tyres and all in water proof suits and we had the sickest week with laughs

I’ve been rocking the hoodie and jeans combo for ages but recently got sick of my hood being blown off by the wind and generally getting soaked and hot and sweaty when it rains with a supposedly waterproof cheap over jacket thing when it rains, I splashed out on a decent Scott goretex jacket and I can’t believe the difference ! It is incredibly waterproof and just feels so light and great , makes me enjoy being on my bike a lot more

I had to race in the rain with only a short sleeve jersey and shorts and it was kind of chilly and I came out soaked head to toe and covered on mud, it sucked cause I had no spare clothes and no towels

I wear wicking tops in rain I pop on a cheap full waterproof cag and some cutoff cheap waterproof bottoms yep I sweat but decent base keeps it all good Ive found no real benefits in fancy breathable cags etc it all gets covered in shite

Short answer is noriding in the rain can still be fun and theres some really good lightweight waterproof gear around for reasonable prices if it gets really wet😜brI use my altura hi vis jacket and boardman overtrousers if it gets too heavy

I’m a police officer who rides year round in New England and I will say if you trail ride in the rain you will get hurt The variation from mud to slick rocks is a bad idea in my opinion, unless your highly skilled

I am like blake but i wear synthetics on my legs because they dry up faster and if it's raining it really doesn't matter if they are waterproof as they won't breathe anyways and sweat will build up on the insidebrOn top i wear layers and a water resistant jacketbrbrI wouldn't be caught dead wearing a cotton hoodie or jeans on a MTB thoughbrbrAnd the most important thing when it's cold and wet is gloves It's the hands that take the most punishment
