We are a military family and we have moved to 2 different European countries (currently overseas), at this point downsizing because of a move and only keeping/buying something that would fit in any house, no matter how small, is my specialty 😅 I also don't buy anything expensive that cheap movers contracted by the military will break!

At one point my husband wanted to build a small shelf next to his full dresser to accomodate more clothes in an already full chest of clothing I pulled all his t-shirts out, (over 70), stacked them in piles of color and asked him to just pick out the top best in shape (3 per color)! Also, you can lots of really good furniture from Habitat for Humanity

My husband has the same problem with T-shirts! He has 13 work t-shirts, and he wears the same one for a few days, and I do laundry every week, so he really needs half that at most He also has 13 casual t-shirts, he wears the same one for an hour here or there all week

I miss our military moves Even as we had kids, it was like it was suddenly easy to see what was trash and what was not worth transporting when it was time to move on The first 8 years of our marriage it was very easy to remain streamlined LOL

IF ur one of the 2 of Americans who fully itemize taxes, decluttering is different I can't just take a box to charity I document every item BUT I love it!! HAPPY come the following year when I earn that refund 🎉🥳

I'm Disabled and had to move slow We'll have about 10 loads 😃 moving an hour away Each week a small moving truck LOT trashed, lots donated Lots recycled
