It does makes a difference… U said it your self One does not needs refining and the other one needs refining Comment from : @francis5944 |
One thing to note is that many coins and rounds I've tested with a sigma pro tested within 9999 green zone I think 999 is just guaranteed minimum fineness Comment from : @johngalt2071 |
3:23brbrIt'd be worth Someghibg, But not much!!! Comment from : @jonaskristensen-fq2xt |
I have a question I noticed that 1oz Asahi silver bar cost about 18 bucks less than a 1oz valcambi silver bar If they both have the same amount of silver whats going on? Comment from : @carcar5911 |
I admire the transparency of the US Mint, I with the Austrians would disclose as well I haven't begun stacking but I am leaning towards Philharmonics and Swiss/German/British bars Comment from : @MrJazzCigar |
It only matters to the dealer when they're selling to you otherwise when they're buying from you it doesn't matter and they wont pay more, bit of a scam if you ask me Comment from : @GOLDnSILVERStacker |
Thank you SD for this post, great explanation and examples While I hear that you feel it's gimmicky, four nines does speak to the quality control freak in metells me that the mint wants the product as pure as possible for the best overall product Of course the businessman in me says they do it to reduce costs (Your scales actually proved my point; the higher the quality, less material per coin/product required to meet weight standardmaybe that's why Eagles weigh more than Maples) 8) Comment from : @R3LI2UI |
Should send me some of those 🍁 great video Comment from : @mikeox7777 |
If milk spotting is worse due to higher purity, does 9999 silver milk spot worse than 999 silver? Comment from : @Austin1990 |
Good review bubcan u do a gold one like this with jus one gold maple leaf cus I know it's expensive to do gold Comment from : @dvhdvh |
You are wrong, they don't contain any "pure silver" They have 1 oz net silver in an alloy Use the correct terminology Comment from : @unclefester6501 |
1 glove is kind of like a condom with a hole in it Comment from : @jimbeekman4863 |
If you need it to make medical grade colloidal silver, you need pure 4 9s fine And it makes sense to want the purest just in case a scenario like that played out and you're siting on all 3 9s Comment from : @TitleTownStacker |
Doesnt make sense Fake US dollar goes up when they print more meanwhile SILVER goes down???????????????? WTF Comment from : @WPGinterceptor460Interceptor |
Thanks for your video I often wondered the same thing I have Eagles and Maples and I assumed the four nines was a better value Comment from : @dubasciver3234 |
Maples and britannias all day baby! Comment from : @daniel51404 |
only maples in case I need to make colloidal silver One less 9 makes a big difference Comment from : @peaceloveandlove2531 |
just took advantage of the dip and bought 5g of gold and 10oz of silver (Britannia 2023 with queen) Comment from : @romanbardon6419 |
I find that the leaf is a little bit cheaper so I get more weight for my money Comment from : @namjamlewis1844 |
The cost of eagles is considerably higher than maples Comment from : @unapologeticallypatriotic3853 |
The ones with lower premium are better Comment from : @wilfriedvomacka1783 |
CNT will start minting Eagles soon Comment from : @treebobjoe |

Just for fun check out Royal Canadian Mint's 10,000 gram $1,000,000 five 9's gold coin Only 5 made but one was on display in Germany and was stolen Comment from : @evelynharron4718 |
Don't care as long as it's silver Comment from : @kcnthebay1369 |
I want two 9s fine Comment from : @reeserichardson8377 |
I have an app that keeps track of my precious metals and I have noticed with the gold Eagles let's go with the tenth ounce cuz I remember the weights if you put in 31 G of 24 karat gold vs 34 G of 22 karat gold both have the exact same amount of gold the 22 karat is usually a dollar or two more in value in my portfolio 🤔 just a weird observation kind of hard to explain Comment from : @trackpackgt877 |
It's just bragging rights pretty much I have Canadian maples that are worth the same as the eagles, and they are known to show milk spots Comment from : @MrAllan9 |
I love learning something new! Thanks for the informative video Silver Dragons! Comment from : @elhazelrah |
who cares its 1 oz coin are you buying it for the 00007 copper or are you getting it for the silver content 1 oz is 1 oz Comment from : @Motownmadmann2011 |

USA! USA! USA! 999! : ) Comment from : @TtheSilverStacker |
So according tobryour tests three 9's or four 9's doesn't really make a difference but try telling that to a coin dealer when you need to resell them for cash and the dealer refuses to give fair value because it's not pure enough! Comment from : @jasonchen9645 |
I like the information in this video and your opinion I would really like you to go to a coin shop and see what they prefer please 🙏 Comment from : @Lol-eh1uv |

Dosen't matter you probably won't get what you paid Comment from : @crazyprepper5400 |
I wonder, why pay more in premiums for a less refined product Why pay more for a tube of AES when you can get more Maples for less for a more refined product with more potential to be used?🤔 Comment from : @tronziebit |
In my country I get approx 15 cent more pr gram for the 9999 (very close to spot price) I was told it was because it costs money to refine 999 to the higher purity, so they pay less for this purity Comment from : @kristianhn2479 |
it dont matter krugers, brittanias maybe 999 but they just look better than Maples Australian kangaroo used to be 999 Theyre nice too Comment from : @xilo7185 |
I do like 4-9's just because, but you correct in your assessment Thank You Sir Comment from : @thesarge4457 |
Pure mostly Just like Powder Milk Biscuits Comment from : @LassieFarm |
I just recently re watched the movie "idiocracy" & let's just assume that 999 of the population is not going to understand what the big fuss is between 999 silver and 9999 silver What I imagine is having a hard time trying to convince randos to even accept anything silver because they're brainwashed & only want the CBDC because some celebrity told them to The government may even have a 1-800 hotline for snitching on silver bartering Comment from : @hOtneO |
If anyone knows decimals, that is 4 digits to the right of the decimal point, so that is 1/10,000 th, like gettiing that percentage on your bank account, lol, like absolutely nothing! Comment from : @rondematteo369 |
I prefer to pay a little bit less for a 9999 maple, than a little bit more, for a 999 eagle :) Comment from : @nidhogg6344 |
I think having the purest form of silver is pretty damn cool its nice knowing its was refined more Plus im a big fan of maples i love that radial pattern and the detail of the leaf The queen does not bother me one bit Comment from : @tylerfortin4937 |
I prefer 999 silver for stackingat least for maples i have found milk spotting to be more common over time with 9999 silver Not a big deal either wayusually i buy the one with the best pricing at the time Comment from : @MrsTwinchins |

You were so close 9999 is better because it does not need to be refined There are many industrial uses for silver that demand 9999 999 will have to be refined again and 9999 won’t That’s the difference Comment from : @businessaccount1752 |
Doesn’t matter Comment from : @matthoffman6962 |
Gold is better Comment from : @john-ze7eu |

9999 might be more valuable if you're planning on supplying the colloidal silver folks after an economic collapse, or if they don't want their purchases tracked Or if you become a colloidal silver salesperson Comment from : @syberphish |
The premise of this is ridiculous You are splitting hairs Comment from : @rodgerjohnson3375 |
SD, have you melted maples for a pour? Have you melted eagles for a pour? Which mint was that doing quality control? Great Video Comment from : @Chuck_Stacks |
I never really thought about the difference and similar to you, I don't think it will make any practical difference when selling A few individuals may have preferences but that's about it Comment from : @Ffollies |
What about Gold? Comment from : @garywells9231 |
Are you sure about the amount of copper?brbrI know one weighs more than the other Is it the 999 fine that weighs more? Comment from : @ericwest2797 |

What reason to add copper Comment from : @commanderbell1965 |
Send the rejects my way ha Comment from : @23Keith23 |
I find that it doesn't really matter and make much of a significant difference between the two Whatever is cheapest at the time I'll go for The only difference is the purity, and refining process, they're both a troy ounce Of Silver Comment from : @JimmyLicari |
What do you bet that 3-5 other stacker channels will put out a 999/9999 video over the upcoming week? Comment from : @davidk7324 |
I really don't care as long as I can find some 1 ounce coins at a decent price these days Comment from : @OvisHerder1 |
9999 you can use to make colloidal silver Comment from : @Bozemanjustin |
The amount of copper in a coin really only matters if you are going to melt your coins down and not many people are going to do that Loved your video because I didn’t realize it was copper in the mix…thought it was just random impurities Comment from : @geoffreytbh |

Cool little video Works same with Gold… Started stacking 5 of those 8 coins… Comment from : @ewetho |
A question I have had for a few years now is why don't companies use 24k to mark gold coins or Sterling for silver? I'm not sure Sterling is pure silver though and just used for Silverware Comment from : @5ivestring |
Very informative! I'll still buy by the lowest premium though And we know, Eagles and Libertads are over priced on premiums For the life of me I can't figure out why Libertads are so high in cost Comment from : @5ivestring |
Usually the metals are 9995 It is the gold standardThe gold at 9995 can only be dissolved by aqua regiaIf gold is less than this than it is an alloy and can be dissolved by other acids or compounds Comment from : @jeffkoehne4852 |
I wish you would do a video on the degrading quality of the strike on ASE type 2 coins You can see the quality slipping in the details, compare Liberty's cap and face, compare the stars on the banner, and on and on What is happening at the mint? Just look at the far superior strike quality of the ASE type 1 It would be a great video! ASE type 2 are definitely OFF my list Comment from : @ewinmac3561 |
