I'd only add that if you have some excess line as most tractors do, to snip off a bit of the line at both ends ( 1/2 inch ) since that's the spot for leaks to occur because of the hose being stretched over the nipple Comment from : NoBs |

Thank you Dony for explaining that the fuel filter does not need to be completely full in order for the fuel system to work properly, somehow I wasn’t completely sure I thought it would create air pockets and cause erratic operation if not full Comment from : Vito Vena |
Why not leave the clamps on the hoses? Seems like you're adding an extra step when you take them off with the filter Comment from : buffmaster0001 |

I'm just amazed at how easy it is for you to remove the filter On my mower the fllter is near impossible to remove from the fuel line I pull, I tug, I twist, I try to pry and nothing moves It's the same filter you're using in the video, same type fuel lines Am I missing something? Very simple yet incredibly important video, Dony!! I add a gravity fed in-line fuel filter to everything I work on It'll extend the life of the carburetor by years If the stock metal screen filter in the tank is clogged, you don't need to spend $8 or more on an OEM replacement But you do need the correct in-line screen filter if your equipment has a fuel pump Comment from : Shoe Slideshows |
thx don Comment from : queenstown kid |
In a "pinch" (pun intended), I used a pair of needle nose vise grips and slipped a pair of deep well sockets on each jaw to safely pinch the fuel line Comment from : iowawrench |
