No matter how you look at it, having a working PC for $92 is value in itself Never mind one that can play games with high frame rates with a cheap GPU I got a 1650v2 on a China board overclocked to 42ghz In my testing it matches a Ryzen 1700 I got it for £40 Put with 16gb of DDR3 I got for £17 is insane

sadly in 2nd quarter 2020 a ryzen 5 2600 in CAD is to expensive amid the pandemic over $200 CAD compared to a used Xeon whch is like 50 - 60 less than the Ryzen 5 2600 as of April 2020 pricing

$18 for a more than decent xeon processor is a very attractive bundle, even though to match Ryzen prices with a more modern xeon model that has higher clock speed and more cores, it makes an absolute win for a more modern xeon if you said to go for more modern and powerful hardware if you want to complement a more powerful card, specially if newer titles are moving towards multi-threaded workload

what cheap Xeon's supports PCI-e 30 ? , looking for a multi Xeon Processor gaming rig and a board that has at least 4x pci-e slots to use 2x raid controllers ( hence why I need pci-e 30 as my disk array maxes a card out but my current CPU is bottlenecking the bandwidth as I can not max out both cards ) and 2x GPU , I was going to go for a thread ripper but if I can get xeons for $20 a pop I might reconsider also would be nice going 128 GB RAM 64 GB is not enough

you can get a first gen ryzen system for not much more than your paying for the xeon system and have an upgrade path and get a motherboard from a decent manufacturer ddr4 support etc, i get if you have 0 budget maybe but the 1 and 01 lows were so bad on the xeon i cant believe you ignored them!
