To be honest slim will be better on future, just because of more common charging port, I already had to replace my oled cable twice and there is either overpriced original cable or trash chinese ones

i got my 1000 model for 60euros practically unused last year and honestly the oled screen is really good even for todays standards and the build quality is a nice touch , i can cgamestream from my pc and play emulated games on it with 250go crazy how good this console is

Don't know if this was the case back when this video was released, but now you can replace NEAR to achieve 1GB of internal memory on the OLED vita

Having used both I actually find the oled screen to be a bit too vivid It's like they boosted the saturation a lot to show what the oled is capable of While the lcd screen leans a bit too much to the washed out look I still prefer it If it's modded you can also change a couple settings which makes it almost as vibrant as the oled You'd still be missing the perfect blacks, but every other color will look almost as vibrant, and more color accurate You also get better definition in dark greys without the green noise or mura that you get with the oled

Great vid don’t think changing the charger port to micro usb was a good idea tbh Those kind of ports seem to break easier I think the OG is the best version, same as the OG psp Sony seem to cheapen there products with their updates in my opinion

As an OG owner back in '11 and a current 1000/2000 owner Slim all the way The form factor, weight, internal memory, matte finish (on my model, anyway) are all exceptional The screen isn't a problem, no matter what people say The 1000 was oversaturated and the LCD feels more natural Plus, the battery life is great As someone with mild OCD, not having to remove fingerprints all the time is a plus as well Also, for whatever reason it boots and shuts down faster not sure why, as the internals are the same

Great video! I'm looking at a Vita 2000 that's already been modded so I can replay all the GBA games from my childhood like Pokemon, Zelda, and Metroid The larger sharper display and modern hardware is going to make reliving the old games so much more enjoyable than my old Gameboy The prices on these games and consoles have sky rocketed in the last few years too, so I'm okay with paying a few hundred bucks for one that's already loaded and ready to go I think I'll be satisfied with the 2000, but I can't argue with how good the Oled screen looks! Makes me wonder why Sony changed it

Just got one recently and went for the LCD one, simply because the OLED display burns in after a while of usage Sometimes with visible mark spots new from factory Yes, better screen, but not for too long, unfortunately - or I guess, that was the reason for going with the LCD on the slim version Also the micro usb is much better than that random proprietary cable that I have no other use for it

Oled one looks old and is heavy, charging port is a big no no, is an mod were you can calibrate the display on the slim one that makes it look much better

I think overall the slim is better, thinner, lighter, don't have to worry about memory cards, longer battery life, universal charger, longer lasting screen, however despite all these improvements, the OLED screen can be a pretty big deal, if you can only have one if probably recommend the 2000 for size, ease of use, and longevity However I'm fixing a 1000 and I'll be using both, I think I'll mostly use the 2000 as a travel buddy seeing as it's smaller and has a longer battery, but I'll use the OLED at home for the best experience

Got my white OLED ps vita off eBay for just under $200, It was off Etsy and my first time buying a used electronic and I must say I am very very happy the quality, it was was rated excellent and I can attest to that As a kid I always thought the white looked so cool and wanted one but already had the black and couldn’t get it

OLED is over saturated despite what everyone says In some instances it works well with some colors but the majority of the time the color accuracy is off by a lot I'd recommend the slim for color accuracy and brighter settings More upsides than downsides with the slim Better battery, better looking, better display, better speakers, and better form factor for carrying

I rather preffer the Slim one, Bcuz the screen its more reliable and will lasg longer than the Oled one, I dont care the looks, Oled screens have shorter life than LCD period, and aldo the Slim version has 1GB of internal memory and better battery life

I got the OLED one for $50 plus 7 original games ,the only issue is that in my area there's no protective cases available online/offline Neither are the spv adapters any cheap So there's a few issue But the OLED one has punchy colours and I'm totally satisfied

Honestly the 2000 is amazing So lightweight, better brightness levels, no burn in or splotches on the screen, better battery and ergonomics I almost didn't buy it because of it being a 2000, but I'm loving it and I'm glad I didn't pass it up

I do not recomend to anyone to buy the FAT modelbr brFAT has:br br- Oled Screens that can be damage by time to time (static images, colofull wallpapers, the bright of the screen and some colors like white and blue may produces staints in the screen after some time for dead pixels) and also may appear some yellow stains in the borders of the screen br- Oled battery is crap People says it last 15 min less than slim wich is a lie Slim has a far more battery, 1 or 15 hours more, not those extra 15 mins some people says br- Oled Screen is not such an amazing thing, in fact theres no such a great diference because the oled tech of these consoles has 10 years, and these old tech compared to the 2021 OLED tech ones is crap br- The directional pad is not so diferent between models but it feel a bit better in the slim model br- The Charger cable from the FAT model is disgusting, while in the slim model you can just use any cheap USB-micro usb cable and it will do the job br- The build quality of the FAT it trully feels more premium but is just an illusion and is only because the weight of the FAT model The SLIM model is just 25-30 gram less Thats all br brLike i said, FAT model gives you the illusion of be premium but is not, while the slim has a noticieable battery life and not the 15 mins more than the people says, a longer screen life (it might last forever compared to an oled screen withc techology of 10 years ago) a better directional pad and a of course the option of getting any mini USB cable as a charger br brAnd no, dont insist of getting the FAT for the quality of the oled screen because the diference is not big as many says because that oled panel from the FAT model was build witch tech of 10 years ago compared to the actual oled tech br brDont buy the FAT, save you money and get the SLIM model because with basic care its gonna last forever, not like the FAT models and those screens that can be allready with some dead pixels

Don’t buy none,screw Sony when it comes to the vita lol it’s unusable and they gave up on it and did there customers dirty with it I invested into both models of the vita day of release and they never cared about it and don’t even got the respect to make it remote play for ps5 and 4 but meanwhile my iPhone 6s Plus can do remote play lol they had to shut that off also I would still have one if I could remote play on my ps5 but being a customer of it from day 1 I’ll be the first to say don’t even waste your time it’ll sit there and look pretty though 👍

You could NOT Charge the PSP with the USB cable UNLESS the system was put into USB charging mode which meant if the system was dead, you couldn't use USB to charge it You NEEDED the round DC charger

It makes a different if your playing High visual and colorful games I have both slim and old vita and when playing the same games on both vits there is from my openion a big different on the quality of visual effect just OLED screen kinda make the image crystal clear and 3dbrBut slim screen just make it lower colorfull and flat And the true HD 3D feeling is not there and kinda makes my eye hurts cause its a tad blurry than the OLEDbut if ur new to the vita u won't notice itjust only for pple that has high attention to details
