Kay Cee
I have my succulents outside in a raised bed…do I replant them and bring them in since it’s getting cold? If so, garage or in the house? TIA

I’m rather new to succulents and I’m finding my biggest challenge is with the humidity developing fungus in the leaves! Makes me want to give up!

It’s marketing tricks so this plants should die soon and customers should by them again…sorry for saying that but it is a true…

Lamera
Whomever said SUCCULENTS are easy, low maintenance, grow are liers! They're finicky, dramatic and delicate stubborn little monsters ! They get your hopes up and betray you by rotting and dying They're cute thought💚🌵🪴
Comment from : Lamera

Lakisha Green
I made the mistake for a long time of using rocks in the bottoms on my plant pots I realized that a lot of my plants died of root rot because the rocks hold the moisture in and push it up towards the roots I took all rocks out of the bottoms of all my plant pots and re potted them all and I never lost a plant to root rot again I know alot of people make this mistake but I never read or see any videos talking about it Your video is awesome by the way!

Child please
When watering succulents should the water be room temperature, such as water that's been allowed to acclimate, or is fresh-from-the-tap just fine? Thank you so much for the very informative video By the way, being new to succulent motherhood (I haven't had one since I killed my crassula as a young teen) I never thought to fertilize I'm shaking my head

NOPE, I’m the complete opposite! During Covid my go to plant was succulents ONLY! I found that they thrived better and from experience I knew I didn’t have a green thumb So, I stayed away from houseplants for 20 years! 😅 All my succulents thrived so well, till this past winter when we had a cold snap and I just left them out and they pretty much all died I thought they were going to make it since I left them out the previous winter, but I guess the cold just lasted a little too long and it was colder I’m starting to rebuild my collection again Only difference is this time I’ve managed to add bout 100 house plants to my collection since 2021! 😄brI’ve learned a lot about plants from watching you & Nick 🥰

If you want to grow succulents I suggest that you buy some clay pots Many people use terracotta clay but any clay that is not glazed will do Some people use cement which is fine but I prefer clay Clay will help draw the water away from the roots so that they will not rot brMost commercial succulent and cacti soils that I have tried do not have enough substrate in them I usually add pumice to a commercial succulent soil until I get the consistency that I feel comfortable with I also add some worm castings brI have not tried the Repotme succulent soil yet but I did buy a bag of one of their orchid soil mixtures (I am new to orchids) and my orchid is loving it and doing very well brI have bought quite a few grow lights from Amazon and have found that every type of plant that I have added a grow light to is doing very well All my grow lights are LEDs so they have not effected our electric bill

NewUkeNewYork
I try and try! My husband loves a weird little succulent, and I just can’t seem to keep them alive I think we either have too much light or not enough, in the places I can put them, and I’d rather give the nicely lit space to Hoya 😂 we have a handful of bizarre looking cacti but I try to avoid getting more
Comment from : NewUkeNewYork

Hailey
I think people just don’t want to know because the info is out here and people buy them to kill them

Watch out for powdery mildew!! I just was at Home Depot today and there was a whole succulent section that was just absolutely covered with it My mom got it on her Flap Jack plant this past year and had to throw it out Kalanchoes are so very susceptible to it

BR V
For me I don’t have the light that they need and not much space near my grow lights for them They are cool but not as much of a statement piece as non-succulent leafy plants so for my set-up I choose no succulents
Comment from : BR V

KeAira Smith

Great tips Ashley, a lot of them are common sense but we sometimes lose sight of these things😉 I get mealy bugs on my Jade, both curly and trailing jade ugh, so frustrating But I love all cacti and succulents so we need to make the effort and not give up My Achilles heel is aeoniums, both crested and regular, not sure if they fall into this category but 😩😂
