plants need light a greenhouse is very deferent than regular household lighting situations so this doesn't really apply to houseplant care unless you have a greenhouse

I'm really curious how do they keep pests away( eg spider mites, scales) With so many plants growing tightly together, pests can spread to the whole green house in no time I have tried neem oil on my own plants, but it's not as effective as what I expected, not to mention some plants are very sensitive to oil residue on leaves

We moved to So Cal mountains I would love advice on what houseplant would live in well lit house that has warm dry summers (70’s indoors) and in cool winters (wood stove heat low humid and 60’s indoors)?

The end comment about millenials is too true I can't get my foot in the doorway to get a job I studied for for the life of me, I can't find a girl to have kids with and since I can't get a job, I can't afford a dog which would totally be my dream, so I end up getting plants and trying to grow food on balcony

I hope south african succulents of all kinds will be the next big thing xD Variegated African violets are too cute, wild species of Pelargoniums have some really quite nice ones too Would be pretty cool with native (to the northern hemisphere) plants as houseplants too, unsure if they would enjoy being indoors in winter though
