I have both the LV Speedy 30 and 25 and I have the NF I regularly clean and condition the leather handles, chaps and piping and I have no problems with either bag When I'm not using the any of my bags I put bubble wrap in them and they go into a dust bag Leather is like skin if you don't maintain it, it will show Yes, it's time consuming to care for LV handles but in the long run its worth it One of my Speedy 30's is just over 20 years old and she still looks pretty good Comment from : Theresa Feeney |

I just purchased a couple pre-loved Louis Vuitton bags: one huge thing that I notice about LV Vachetta in general is that it dries out and cracks over time so easily! I saw so so many vintage LV Bags that were in terrible shape due to the Vachetta cracking and even sometimes making handles break or fall off (especially on the Neverfull and Alma for some reason) This is less so about the bag being bad quality, and more about poor care for delicate materials like Vachetta I just bought the Back 4 leather conditioner and it works wonders does not change the color of the vachetta at all and just keeps in smooth and hydrated Just a good tip to prevent the leather cracking down the road :) Comment from : Shannon Hudson |

What a timely video! I was thinking of purchasing an LV bag this past weekend & I looked at the Locky BB, the New Wave, the Pochette Felicie, & the Vavin BB (I think?) What struck me is they didn’t feel as “sturdy” as I like my bags to feel Not saying anything about the quality or style, just my preference I was surprised that 2 of the bags had no lining & one had the unfinished suede on the inside I also wondered if one of the bags would keep shape since it was the glazed canvas & had no middle seam at the bottom I ended up purchasing a Tory Burch Kira top handle because it was more my style & it feels like it could stun a would-be kidnapper if you took a swing with it! 😂 Comment from : Angie Emm |

Some of these issues seem just from age, vachetta won’t last forever it is raw leather U can take them to LV & get them to put new ones on To me a defect is the glazing melting, canvas cracking etc Always check your bags b4 purchasing, I’ve learnt the hard way!! some of those "issues" are normal wear and tear though just because something was very expensive doesn't mean that it won't age!
