@davec5153
It was an easy victory but the USA didn't have our backs and basically sided with EgyptbrIts all changed now though with America invading and starting wars all over the middle east, except when Trump was President, a man that represents the will of the common American citizen and not the ruling elite

@suntimes9465
Trouble in the Red Sea again
Comment from : @suntimes9465

@XXXTENTAClON227
IMO this just proves what we knew all alongbrbrEisenhower really was German on the low, most German sounding name ever and he immediately took the first opportunity to sabotage Britain, France, AND the only Jewish state on earth If that isn’t German, what is?
Comment from : @XXXTENTAClON227

@BobbyFlay14
Israel have been causing problems ever since the British gave them their fake country
Comment from : @BobbyFlay14

@Aubury
As an Englishman, who has a hazy memory of this midst childhood brI can only thank the USA for putting realpolitik into the old imperial habit of Britain, for the last time
Comment from : @Aubury

@banquetbilly1260
Why not use the Soviet red hammer and sickle flag to signify the forces from the east The nation of Russia did not exist from 1920 or so until 1991
Comment from : @banquetbilly1260

@andrewevans4722
How did the USA pandering to arab nationalists go for them? Did they reciprocate?

@tarwingrill4531
The algerians fighting the french in 1956 were neither trained nor supplied by nasser Not a single bullet, not a single trainee The political exiles were in Cairo, and Nasser tried to CONTROL the revolution in algeria by blabla Read the congress of soumam The algerian revolutionaries got their training in French army during WW2 Every single military leader at the start of the war was in WW2, including my own father Not only they got the training, they also got the experience, and more importantly they lost all consideration for the french army they saw completely routed by germans brGoi to history books, make the list of every officer and political leader that started the revolution Except for few very young ones too young to be in WW2, all were in
Comment from : @tarwingrill4531

@bigbaba1111
Don't forget that the reason for the Gaza raid was the endless killing of Jewish civilians by Arabs coming from Gaza with the full support of Egypt
Comment from : @bigbaba1111

@oramplays1071
As an Egyptian i see this as a W
Comment from : @oramplays1071

@paulduffy4585
Very good summary I enjoy this narrator I notice that Czech arms turned the tide in Israel in 48 and now here they are again coming to Eygpt a few years later I assume the Soviets were pulling the strings
Comment from : @paulduffy4585

@rajancharan4625
My father was a peer of the army of Great Britian during the invasion, granted he never made it back, killed at the canal from an accident with a misfired gun, but he told me many stories about what I was like, and the kindness of the Egyptian people
Comment from : @rajancharan4625

@fredklein3829
Was hoping to learn more about Canada's role in the invention of peace keepers from the Suez incident, since the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Lester Pearson in 1957 for his role in resolving the crisis Not one word about it in this video, plus the map of Canada was wrong, showing Newfoundland and Labrador in their previous condition that ended in 1949 I wonder what particular bias motivates this channel, Epic History TV?
Comment from : @fredklein3829

@sardorbekmaksudov5112
14:12 Self-defence 🤣 it seems aggression in Hebrew means self defence

@ManOfManyHats94
Watching this with the context of the current crisis in Gaza makes me feel numb Commerce will be prioritised over life time and time again
Comment from : @ManOfManyHats94

@asqarovnursulton2922
Suez Canal fully and fairly belongs to Egypt and its people France and Britain sucked the blood of the weaker (majority) nations for centuries and now no western power: US, Russia, Britain, France has any drop of right to enjoy the profit of Suez
Comment from : @asqarovnursulton2922

@zainijazvaince7434
As an old Iraqi saying goes "If you see two fish fighting in water, you can be sure an Englishman passed by minutes ago"
Comment from : @zainijazvaince7434

@PhilipJackson03
This truly was a globally spanning war It actually helped define Canada as well Our future Prime Minister Lester B Pearson won a Nobel peace prize for help broker the end of the war for the UN Establishing Canada as a “Force for good” in the world, as we were clearly punching far above our weight in this important period in time and in front of our former colonial power brbrSuffice to say a lot of the ideas people have about Canadians being friendly people definitely sparked from the great amount of attention and respect the nation got after the Suez crisis
Comment from : @PhilipJackson03

@Vjl5280

@shehran6936
Geopolitics is a messy subject This continues to this day in Palestine and across the world brbrIt's sad to see people not caring for human life If history teaches you one thing It's that humans will never learn a lesson, they'll always put their interests first

The Israel government seems to be a guilty partner in 1956, 1967 (Remember USS Liberty) and 2023 It's hard to see Israel as a victim

@RBAILEY57
If Eisenhower had not stabbed Anthony Eden in the back by threatening a run on Sterling, it would have ended differentlybrHM forces were defeated politically, not militarily The USSR was the ultimate winnerbrBritain has not had an independent foreign policy ever since

@Arun_Kumar_UK
Great respect for Egypt to stand up to the colonial powers and liberate the nation from exploitation To see the colonial powers still hang on to territories across oceans in 2024 says a lot about their lack of morality and barbarism Historic shame sadly continues to this day

Now understand Until the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ From 1948 Nobody could defeat Israel brAmos 9 :14-15 The Restoration of Israel br14 “Also I shall bring back the exiles of My people Israel, And they will rebuild the deserted and ruined cities and inhabit them: They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, And make gardens and eat their fruit br15 “I will also plant them on their land, And they shall never again be uprooted from their land Which I have given them,” Says the Lord your God brbrZechariah 12 :3 Jerusalem to Be Attacked br3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured And all the nations of the earth will come and be gathered against it brbrThe 1967 Six-Day War Israel defeated the Arab armies, gained territory four times its original size, and became the preeminent military power in the region [][],,,,,

@Ramoooo25
A deceptive attempt to beautify America as if it were a flying angel with wings America pretends to be peaceful, but on the other hand, it launched its small project, fake Israel, to destroy Egypt and seize Port Said You people who are watching thisvideo America did not ask Israel to withdraw from Port Said Rather, it was a self-wishing that Israel would end its mission of controlling Egypt, in order to reveal its hidden face Finally, after the withdrawal of the Egyptian forces, what saved Egypt were the people of Port Said The guerrillas We are grateful to the people of Port Said that they saved Egypt from the temptation caused by America

9:58 15,000 ships Britain should have obliterated Egypt for its insolence Get the facts right White people and i am not white btw are head and shoulders above every other race Without them we'd all be fcuked Im not saying we kneel before them, but stop crying above repatriations when the gave us the foundations to success that we would have nevr found we are greedy and brutal and not forgiving like they are The west have left a legacy that the rest of us have embraced but never respectedhow we got here

By the way, this disaster is the reason why the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO will always be American There were talks about allowing European SACs, but this showed the world that the Europeans were too likely to start a war and thus couldn’t be trusted with that power

This 'history' isn't completely true I'm born in that period and my family has been attacked, probably from Gaza, maybe from the Sinai This was quite traumatic, because the people were socialist farmers working and living in a kibbutz There wasn't a supply of goods They had to live under dangerous conditions from the products of the kibbutz, mainly oranges This wasn't enjoyable at all

The US has clealy never been opposed to European imperialism brbrIf anything it, the Suez Canal Crisis set the expectation and precedent that America's business and foreign interest benefit from any clandestine operations and regime changesbrbrThe UK and the the oil company now known as "BP," shared the oil proceeds after the MI6/CIA-backed overthrowing of the democratically elected government of the Persian Empire
