dr4 betrayed me twice The first time I played it, I was heartbroken by how different it was from the rest of the series and put it down after exiting the mall The second time, years later, I said to myself "well, alright, fine, it's not a good iDead Rising/i game, but maybe I wasn't willing to give it a shot as just a video game" I was barely able to struggle my way through a couple hours of the open world before I just couldn't tolerate it anymore I can only partially chalk this up to how low my tolerance for christmas is It's genuinely unfun to play It's a snore Screw you, dr4, and the dead horse you rode in on

Apparently the game was supposed to be called Climber that was supposedly to be dark and mature Capcom didn’t know about this and when they found out, they wanted to scrap the entire game and turn it into a new Dead Rising This is why it feels so bad because it was a put together game

I'm really conflicted on the fact that you can leverage enemies and vehicles from the open world to cheese boss fights On the one hand, I ireally/i like the idea of being able to use elements of the open world sandbox to fight bosses through cunning tactics rather than a frontal assault On the other hand it would take a different game to make this idea work As is, your ability to use these things comes across as more of an oversight than an intended mechanic

It's real sad, I went back and played DR2 OTR with my friend, and we had such a fun time, which lasted 16 hours We played DR3 for the first time both of us, that lasted 8 hours, and was so fucking boring and uninteresting We wouldve played DR4 for the hell of it, but because there was no coop mode, we literally could not play it even if it was ironically DR4 is so fucking bad

I've literally just finished this game It's my first dead rising game ever I completed the story in just under 12hrs I got 59 complete, and thought is that it🤔🤷🏻‍♂️ obviously I had to do a lot more side quests or kill enemy survivers, but I really couldn't be bothered 😂 I'll mibby try again sometime soon 🤷🏻‍♂️brEdit: queen Sandra was the hardest boss fight for me🤦🏻‍♂️ I died about 6 times🤣🤣 and I also had over $70k so obviously I haven't played the game properly 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

Giving the team way too much cr3dit here, but I somewhat understand why Frank acts the way he does He's been through some serious shit The trauma he's been through is probably so immense that his asshole front is just that And the way it's so flimsily shown is due to all the repressed horror he's lived through He's trying to pretend it doesn't bother him but that first piece with Vic probably brought up so much ptsd that he's basically in autopilot nowbrbrIt also makes sense why this mall seems boring and only has the one minigame He's familiar to this level of insanity but his mind knows this is wrong in spite of him trying to make it as fun as it used to be It's like Dead Space 3 You can only ve scared for so long before your brain just adjusts brbrAgain, way too much credit to the design team Kinda wish that was more intentional though
