I feel like Metro Exodus utilized RTX better Still not enough titles to justify the price premium on the RTX cards though Might take a few years for the ray tracing library to grow and by that point new cards will be available to do a better job of it I feel bad for the people who jumped into the first generation of RTX cards that are going to be replaced soon enough

It's the first generation of cards delivering Raytracing and with that in mind it's a nice gimmick for enthusiasts only DLSS is disappointing right now We have to wait and see what will happen with this technology in the future I will stick to my GTX1080 until the next generation of graphics cards will come out

Tested this on release aswell and unfortunatly it looks like shit :/ the lack of sharpeness makes the background kinda blurry (which is a joke considering we already have visibility issues)brI mean, i would like to play with rtx on but for now it's rollback in hope of a future upgrade that will improve image qualitybrIt's especially horrible since my "monitor" is a 55" oled 4k tv sitting on my desk

This is bullshit, to be fair though many reviewers are sucking hard on Nvidia DLSS on is worse than down scaling 75 with TSAA on The DLSS AI per frame takes time a certain time depending on number or tensor cores relative to shader cores and the resolution running An analogy to the 8600k frametime stutter at 144Hz compared to the 8700k hyperthreaded with no stutter This can show itself if the frames are too high relative to the number of tensor cores that can do the work At 1:00 you say 'rendering resolution at beyond what your monitor can support' This is incorrect Nvidis DLSS is really just x2 upscaling using AI tensor cores to estimate remaing data via algorithms created from the their deep learning machines At higher resolutions frames go down the tensor throughput goes down and the bottleneck will not be visible Lets be clear 4k native is 3840 x 2160 4k DLSS is 2560 x 1440 with AI upscaling 2k is 2560 x 1440, 2K DLSS is 1920 x 1080 with AI upscaling The major points are this is just upscaling via AI The limted number or tensors in this first generation Turing will begin to bottleneck and frametime issues will occur at high frame rates The reason you don't see this yet is when RT cores are turned on aswell, they kill framerates so much (yet again not enough in the cards) that high very high frames are not reached How can this be resolved Turing or the next generation nvidia cards on 7nm or below will have far greater multiples of RT and tensor cores that could do a far better AI approximation of the upscaling and avoid the present DLSS blurring and handling high FPS throughput AI though could be used for better purposes like creating intelligent bots or characters or world interaction Also very importantly Microsoft is bringing an open source RT program that can be used on all graphics cards

DLSS renders the game at a resolution beyond what your monitor can displaybrehhh yes and no 4K DLSS means the game is actually rendered at 1440Pbrand 1440P DLSS means the game is actually rendered at 1080P etcbrthats why the game looks blurry when DLSS is on, and thats why it performs better with DLSS on cause its rendering at a lower res
