After long problemswith my rx5700xtbrI have the solutionbrJunk temp vs 225watt limitbrbrYou have to read your bios of your card brIf the max watt is under 225watt brThan your junktemp go up and its use it that wallbrIf your card can max have a 225 watt limit brIt wil hit that limit and your junk temp is lower brbrMy gigabyte had a max 190watt limit in the bios brAnd the junk temp of 110c and shutdown on 118c brbrWel now i gone tell wy you have a drive crash brOn your gigabyte brAnd all other cards with this problembrThe junktemp go up 110c and go down by the limit and your power is lower 225 wat brYour card wil set your power use down to 100wattsbrTo cooldown that junktempbrbrThis cost your game performance and your stottering in your games brbrSo you need that 225watt wall so your card stay stabel and junk is under 110c brThe watt spikes are not thare brAnd your cards stay stabel on 2040mhz stabelbrbrAgain the amd algoritme use the max 225watt and the 110c junktempbrbrNow after 2 years the gpu is stabel and running fine and the junk is now around 100c and 225watt max wallbrAnd stay stabel and even more fps thanks that it do not spike like crazy brbrAfter a custom beult bios brI have set the 225watt limit back on my gigabyte and now its finebrbrYou can use gpu-z and look what model you havebrAnd look than on webside and see the bios what your card have Comment from : sebastiaan suijkerbuijk |

I hate it i probably changed termal paste 3 times on my card and undervolt still hot and fans go crazy and it down clook it self even whit 2 140 mm fans under the card it was to hot Core like 73-80 but edge 105-110 C° Comment from : Anonym Anonym |

New to amd cards and researching the different sensors reporting temps I understand junction temp is like a Hotspot temp and 110degrees is said to be normal but I don't feel like it should be ignored and it seems with proper cooking applied no part of the gpu die should be sustaining anything near 110 degrees Comment from : James G |
Thanks for explaining this Do you consider a delta of 30-35 kelvin between edge and junction temp ok? Or should I be worried? 😮 Have seen temp 65 and junction at around 95 degrees after just a 3 minutes game benchmark (Gigabyte RX 6750 XT Gaming OC) or just sitting in the game menu… Comment from : Lasse Lunde |
Love the content Great information I have learned a lot I do understand there’s people out there that doesn’t listen and they are idiots I agree 100 I just felt the whole time listening and learning about the junction and core temps that I was being called an idiot Understand I know you weren’t saying it to me but still not great to hear I still like this type of info so I just subscribed Just don’t want to hear I’m an idiot if I don’t get it Just because I may not understand everything Hope this feedback is ok for me to say Not trying to be mean or sound like a wuss Thanks for listening Comment from : Kapono Hoopii |

Cool stuff! Comment from : DANE |

I'm seeing 65c/100c on my uv/oc to 2600mhz rd 6950xt, should I be worried about the 100c junction twmps? Comment from : arcadefighter |
I'm confused as to why AMD tell us that 110 Degs Jcn is Ok (for my RX6900XT) and the rest at around 100C; which I thought was bad, but they say is normal But others say is not Who really knows with modern tech Companies lie, Governments lie, podcasters lie Mysteries Still works a year later Comment from : Republic John |

this video seems pretty relevant today lol Comment from : Kwake |

Hi Mate what is about the GPU temp and the GPU Hotspot difference i buyed a Gigabyte gaming oc 6750 xt and i got difference from 40-50 degress Comment from : Robin S |
So I'm guessing junction temps don't really matter as long as the cables are not burning themselves or the GPU isn't setting it's self fire it's most likely fine So basically people are panicking over nothing Comment from : AssassinIsAfk |
Here we go again with amd Comment from : Thomas |
ok first off AMD on their website says its ok for your GPU junction temp to reach 110c so I don't know what this dude is rambling on about saying its a bad NO its good hers why processors and GPUs that can reach these temps means how well there made even though the cooler you run the better but once again this dude acts as if you see 110 its bad and your screwed lol its fine to see it float up to these temps after playing a few hrs and besides pretty much all Radeon cards can be undervolted A lot and gives you way more performance and drops your temps big time so this dude use to be cool back in the day but he just has just turned into a Nvidia fan boy sad!!! Comment from : Adam Martin |
70$ in Noctua fans and other crap, and a broken motherboard later, I find this video to find there is nothing wrong with my new gpu Comment from : Kristian Hansen |
So what you're saying is, if it isn't hitting 110 consistently at junction tempand the edge temps are staying sub 80i'm good? no stress? everything fine? Comment from : KaleEmAll |
You are right, but 90 of all people in the World are stupid as hell AMD did a big mistake, they Show us the junktion temperature And the idiots out there are freakin out Comment from : M M |
Messing with your gpu fan curve helps with the junction temps, if it bothers any of you My Junction temps ran around 80-90°, until I messed with my gpu fans in the AMD performance settings 👌 Comment from : N1njaPig |
Dear I have a 3900xt used only in fs2020 and DCS, no overclock I’m having when I’m using VR 96 in core and 110 in the junction, I I think that this is not ok, what do you think Comment from : Arturo Gonzalez Thomas |
So if my brand new Red Debil RX 6700xt have 90-95C hotspot temp in AAA games on ultra/high settings Thats mean my gpu is broken? I ask because i dont know what to do now Comment from : ciawares |

Limiting fps to 60 and using fancurve helps a ton, ran 85-92°c junc temp before with stock settings, after fancurve junc temp max 62°c Huge drop Comment from : Höröhörö |
Ok, a chip's size is 2 square centimeters at maxif the hotspot is 100 degrees, and you saying its not hot, how are you kidding me?! Too high tempsi am downclockingnand downvolting mine by 5-10 now, i want my AMD chips to be well functioning longer than 1-2 years, and a chip thatxs running at H2O evap temps is crazy to megreat performance comes out of thesw chips, but no components known to man will last a long time at those temps without degrading their quality IMO Ryzen 5's run at 95 degrees under load!!! This is crazy! Watercooling and good ariflow is a must Comment from : Scarr |
I got my strixx oc I get 2100mhz out of it and the junction temp maxes out at 102 but weirdly regular temp is at 75 Comment from : Carlos Cruz |

Comment from : ly djeb |

Thank you for this video Being a new person to PC, having conflicting information about these temps really had me believing that my GPU was broken I was seeing 85-90 temps being reported, and seeing online that a GPU should never run that high, not realizing that I was seeing JUNCTION temps, had me confused and defeated esp in this GPU market This cleared it up I really have 70ish gpu temps when under heavy load I really appreciate it Comment from : nemolovesyou |
Mines doing this now I told people it was running hot and the pro's didn't believe me lol Comment from : BlazingDonkey |

Junction temp is memory temp? wtf are you talking about? Comment from : O |
My 5700xt at 110 junction runs at 1970Mhz almost constant without thermal throttle (Undervolted) However I was able to bring down junction to 92-94 running with stable clock speeds around 1920-1940Mhz The result is incredible - same performance and more stable experience Comment from : Alexander Todorov |
Haven't watched the video yet but I have a question about temperatures for my GPU (AMD 5700 xt) I'm quite young and got a computer for Christmas When I run most games I get around 90 to 95 celsius is that normal? Comment from : k0lic |
OK so i want to get Rust but im worried my gpu will get too hotbrThe closest temp becnhamrks to getting precise Rust benchmarks, is if i checked my temps when playing ark I was playing at 60-65 current, and 85-88c junction temperature IS IT SAFE?? is 88c junction temp safe for my GPU? I havea Gigabyte RX5700XT PLEASE HELP Comment from : Jeremy |

Man these idiots need to stop talking shite Comment from : Kaden Cheramie |

Nowdays when we talk about amd gpu we talk about underclocking and undervolting br5700 xt i got is set to run at 2100 Mhz with 1150 V reaching over 80 C in gaming 50 C in idle Power consumption over 220 WbrUnderclocking to 1950 Mhz with 1 V power consumption downed to 160-180W with 41 C idle temp, while in gaming edge temp goes to 70 C and hot spot to 85 C max Fans are set to 60 max So huge difference from default settings I tried FurMark once for a minute and hot spot easily reached 106C while edge temp was 79 C so the gap was almost 30 C difference I dont surrges any sintetic benchmark since it gives artificial behavior on chips that you can not meet in casual daily activitiesbrAnyway, 5700 xt is one hell of a chip for around 350 - 400 euros Comment from : Electron Lounge |
80 F° or 90 F° IS OK? Comment from : David Abascal |

Is this a normal thing? Is it okay? I can't found explanation on google or reddit Comment from : Sourenics |
So if when using the Gigabyte Gaming OC card at the stock fan curve I get around 110 degrees all the time it means that's NOT okay, am I right? Comment from : Ygor Cortes |
Should I be paranoid hitting mid 80s with junction temp of 110 ? I get scared to even see if the thing is going to hit core of 90 so I’ll just close the application for a bit Comment from : Nar Sayeee |

not an apple fan : Tjunction is only usefull for LN2 overclockingand AMD gpu-s are known to be very very good for thatwhich means nothing to me because I don't overclock either my cpu or gpu ever But I have nothing against that Tjunction number being visible to users But I do agree that youtube bribed influencers / biased selfproclaimed reviewers are using that to harm AMD-s reputation and to try to sustain anti AMD mindshare which is again nothing from Nvidias marketing department :) Comment from : LFly R |
Hey man i wanted to say i dropped my Navi temps down on full gaming load to arounf 67c i changed the thermalpads to 05mm and put grizzly paste and washer mod Amazing results man Comment from : Jims Innovations |
