how the actual fuck did you get your ram usage down to 26gb on windows, mine likes to suck up 12gb which is just stupid even if i have like 32 better move to arch i guess

In my opinion, Windows is so good at optimization, especially RAM Windows comes for you, you don't have to worry about RAM on Windows, just upgarde RAM more But in Linux, you have to control your Linux system yourself, so you may be worry about RAM, because if you are at risk in Linux, you are gonna fix it yourself

I think most of the "used" memory under windows is mostly just "reserved" and not actually usedbrbrIf you eg If you were to upgrade from 4GB to 32GB, Windows would use up 8GB for desktop use alone, simply because there is so much left to reservebrUnfortunately, I'm not sure how Linux does this with the reservation and it could well be that Linux gives you much more precise information and does not reserve such an incredible amount of memory (unnecessarily)
