I kept all my cards, did sell some hardware but mostly I kept what I need to turn back on at some point I never broke even, paid off about 2/3 of my hardware but ETH merge really left a bitter taste in my mouth I hope Flux or some other PoW chain overtakes ETH as the main BTC competitor/smart contract blockchain

asics are junk that goes bad in few months and you run chasing service centres which are hardly available so gpus are best mining equipment hands down

I wonder if the GPU buying draught will make GPU designers cut back again on memory bandwidth AMD is already thinking about targeting the entrance level market and leave the "enthusiast" stage for nVidia to fill I wonder what nVidia will do now that people are not really buying their high end cards

Very nice and advisable video, Sir, but I'm not giving up on GPU mining I definitely know and believe that GPU mining will come back and be much more profitable than ever! In my opinion, this is the best time for GPU miners to prepare and buy mining equipment for the future

Another option: sell all GPUs, convert all coins to ETH and start staking If mining becomes profitable (if ever) you can now easily switch from staking to mining again

I wanted to sell and roll it into new gear But I am too lazy and it worked in my favor this time The gear I was going to buy, with current prices and electricity, would be sidelined too I feel gpus give me more diversity to mine if something becomes available They are paid off so it isnt hurting me Though when I walk past them I do get the urge to turn them back on

I only kept gpu’s to spec mine new PoW projects Early days of Kaspa mining (not too long ago) would yield more kas than an ks0 just without the price action (it was way less than a cent) I think keeping some powerful/efficient gpu’s and FPGA’s in your arsenal, will still help yield a lot of coins/tokens before asics get to the market I was able to gpu mine enough Kaspa to get a few ks0’s, I wouldn’t be able to do that without a gpu early in the project So I personally think gpu’s are still beneficial for early projects (spec mining)

Spec mining is a lot smarter than all the hopping around, imho What is profitable now to me is like chasing bad trades I’d rather mine low, sell high Mineable coins have excellent intermediate returns as a group and more miners ought to be trading crypto using simple TA It is a business Learn price action and how to read simple technical analysis and treat it as such

One’s power rate is a key factor At $009 I am still running my 65 20-series GPUs profitably, albeit barely ($1-2 daily per x13 rig) Have been spec-mining and stacking, while paying for power out of pocket, and buying used 30-series on good deals RXD and DNX already jumped 5-10x since Sep 2022, covering my power and some GPU investments with the value appreciation of stacked coins Hope to be right about my strategy in 1-2 years :)

Great job laying out the pro's & con's my friend 👍🏼I personally I still love my GPU's & want to accumulate more right now We will probably not see GPU Profitability as high as Ethereum Mining again, but there will be other opportunities in the future New crypto projects, selling compute-power with PoUW, & non-crypto compute sales like Vast AI I feel as if GPU prices are at reasonable levels to invest for those reasons PLUS I still love my GPUs ❤😁

Had an opportunity to sell gpus and bought btc bottom for that money For me, it's a good call in this "after ETH" situation If some good coin emerges, I'll find a an efficient way to go back in the game Untill that happens I'm buying coins rather than mining

For me not mining like I use to is because its harder after the Ethereum merge Once in a while yes based on hash rate drop , etc, but yes not mining not as often
