I have done a lot of research on LED lighting I have come to the conclusion that the only way to go is using the new generation of Quantum Lights These are full spectrum lights and these are so efficient that they don't need fans anymore to cool down Only 160 to 200 Watts is more than enough for 1m2 Comment from : Martijn Hiemstra |

I am very curious about the actual spectrum for "white" led grow lights because I discovered that there are many ways to make white For example, it can be made with just blue and yellow with absolutely no red I trust that most all grow lights use R G B, but it would be great to see their actual spectrum The manufacturer CREE has excellent publications on color output of their leds Another point to ponder is that plants do use colors other than red and blue [yellow and far red] they just don't use it efficiently I am into African violets and currently using white , but want to try R B panels Thanks for your videos !! Comment from : Robert Hendrickson |
When you refer to white light, do u refer to regular led lightbulb used in a house/bedroom etc? Comment from : Tomasz Pilat |

for white you only added yellow to blue and red And so you have white there are only 3 color blue yellow and red Comment from : Alejandro Alfaro |
the green color does not exist is a mixture of blue and yellow the plant does not reflect green in blue and yellow reflective band together there are only 3 colors in the world blue to yellow and red Comment from : Alejandro Alfaro |
I use CFLs from different manufacturers AND White and colored LEDs in overhead and horizontal mounts The combination isn’t scientific but the variety of spectrum seems to work very well Comment from : G Howard |

You are not only stupid eating soybeans, you eat raw soybeans Comment from : Pikudo Pikao |
I have noticed the same with an HLG65 vs a Mars 300 in my veg area The blurple Mars stacks shorter (I didn't notice branching but I usually top everything - interesting! ) but the growth is slower overall under the red/blue - even though watt for watt the Mars is double the draw from the wall in case anyone wants to know Comment from : Phenos Garden Update |
Given your approach to these videos, I'm curious if HLG (horticulture lighting group) would send you one of their led grow lights (mabye the HLG 65, or the 100, if you like smaller scale testing, ie: real low wattage) to do some testing with They're currently using Samsung diodes in most of their lights (they use Nichia in one model I think)brledgardener has done a couple, maybe less 'scientific', grows with some of their lights, if you want to check out his channel Very informative as well, more from an electronics standpointbrbrThanks for the videobrPeace Comment from : Ash |

interesting i've found shopping for good LED grow lights to be difficult, so these videos are insightful brbrthis season, i planted peppers at the same time outdoor in soil and indoor with DWC now, just beginning to fruit, the outdoor plants are much bushier and healthier-looking than the DWC despite my mediocre soil vs the high-quality hydroponic solution this just shows how powerful natural sunlight is and how important it is to try to reproduce it indoors Comment from : Bo |
