I got a ps4 from a friend it is in good condition and it turns on when it turns on it takes me to the WELCOME BACK TO PLAYSTATION PRESS PS BUTTON TO USE CONTROLLER screen but i tried the controller and it didnt work so i bought a new controller and im having the same problem ive watched every video and ive tried all the methods new usb cord, pressing the reset button on controller, putting it in sync mode none has worked i even tried mouse and key board and one of the buttons took me to the power menu but couldnt do anything from there i cant go to the settings on the ps4 because i dont have a working controller so im basically stuck on this screen with no way of connecting and im beginning to think im the only one having this problem so if anyone sees this please help me

Leave it up to sony to make it a challenge just to connect a controller My Xbox has a button and the controller has ONE button you push and it has worked everytime I need it to 2 months of having PlayStation and it’s been 2 months of crap

You have to unplug your ps-cable put the ps cable back in, start your ps, and connect your controller with the ps, thank me later :)
