There are fantastic reusable produce bags on Amazon! I got the ones from Earthwise They have sets that include all different sizes! It has reduced so much plastic use for me when I go to the supermarket! Highly recommend

I was sitting in at my local Starbucks and I was offered a take away cup I was shocked and insisted on a ceramic mug The barista really tried to push the take away cup me I was really surprised The coffee shops themselves should be conscious of their own impact on the environment

Excellent video I think it's so important that everyone takes steps to help the planets survival I have a niece and nephew now, so has made me so much more passionate about this subject We did not have children because of the worry for the future I recycle a lot Try and buy local food I buy vintage and second hand clothes a lot of the time because it's often better quality than the stuff in the cheaper high street shops

Only now getting to finish your video You can do your own skincare products as well and it has so many advantages For example you know exactly what's in them, you can make them smell how you want and it's so much fun to do (and use) your own skincare products! I made a couple videos about that, too

Absolutely fantastic information I love the cotton pad replacement idea since I use the same cleansing method So much waste! I do use my own stainless steel water bottles (we are in South Florida so need to keep things cold but they also work well for keeping coffee warm) I mostly bring my own bags for shopping Thank you for reminding us we can all make small changes to help Cheers!

What I have been learning about is the impact of fast fashion Justine Leconte is a designer here on Youtube and she shows how to create a capsule wardrobe and most importantly, who to buy from The dyes in fabrics run directly into water sources in countries like India and the people who manufacture are basically slaves This happens all around the world in garment manufacturing zones, incredible toxic run off and these clothes are so inexpensive, they are throw away Land fills and filling up from clothing we throw away Get a T shirt at Walmart for $5 and it doesn't feel too bad to throw it out All the clothing that is not purchased from responsible manufactures are a contribution to much suffering You might want to research who you are buying from and demand they clean up their act or do not buy from them

Wonderful to see your eco-tips! However, there needs to be a clarificationcharity shops need gently used items that they can resell and make money for their cause They are NOT a place to get rid of your worn-out clothing so you don’t have to feel guilty about putting it in the bin Even ‘poor’ people don’t want to buy tatty clothes, so the charity shops end up throwing them in the bin anyway and paying extra disposal fees They are not fabric recyclers So, sometimes the bin is the right answer for those worn out garments

You can change and stop using plastic straws, and start using stainless steel ones!!! And ever more "hardcore" to stop pads for your period and use organic cups, made out of silicone, that are reusable after been cleaned and sterilized

Josie such great tips you mentioned I also highly suggest you to switch out the detergent you are using, because the harsh chemical ones like Ariel etc can irritate our skin and end up in our water system I switched from Ariel to a brand called ecover Their products smell lovely and do a job as great as Ariel does Love your videos

On the topic of clothing, biodegradable laundry detergent also makes a huge difference! Soap is really terrible for the environment and for aquatic wildlife In my experience biodegradable detergents clean just as well as normal detergent

Thank you for doing videos like this to spread the word, raise awareness and provide practical ideas people can implement in their daily lives I have been doing the reusable coffee and water bottles as well as the reusable shopping bags for years and I think all are a great way for everyone to reduce their waste I hadn’t heard about the reusable makeup pads and I have just ordered some! While I was on amazon ordering I noticed there are also bamboo toothbrushes which I’m trying as well And a final thought - charcoal bamboo filters can be used instead of the plastic Brita water filters They are compostable once they have worn out👍👏
