Even with its limitations, I think Tekken 6 has the best approach to lighting in the series thus far Sometimes the bloom can be too much (wear a white outfit on Mystical Forest), but when it all works, it really enhances the models, and materials look great The game's biggest visual detractors were its resolution and the texture quality on stages Emulating can relieve one of those detractors, and the game stands up mightily for releasing (in arcades) in -2007- That's 15 whole-ass years ago

brTTT2 is really flat and there's a distinct loss in quality in its custom items compared to the default costumes In Tekken 6, they were of a similar calibre That said, you can do more with color in TTT2, including applying decals (outfits are also smeared with flat 'dirt' or 'slime' colors from rolling around on certain stages) So more versatile, but it doesn't look as good

brTekken 7 everything is shiny as fuck It's less flat than TTT2 but it looks unnatural and (imo) often unpleasant Characters have gross looking skin and greasy wig hair Occasionally you get an item that looks really nice, like Kazuya's coat, but by and large it's just a noisy overtuning of UE4's features Comment from : Ryuhza |

While I doubt it I really hope T8 will bring back the level of depth that TTT2's customization offered Harada's recent IGN interview sounded promising in regards to him at least acknowledging how important customization is to the fans So let's wait and see:)brbrAnd thank you for the comparison! 😊 Comment from : Candas Turan |

Namco got really lazy with the customization outfits in TTT2 A lot of those clothes are universal and many of them lack physics The costumes that mostly have clothing physics are the default costumes and exclusive costumes like Asuka and Xiaoyu's school uniform, Lili's frilly dress, etc The universal skirts are literally frozen The Hakama is one of the few universal clothes that have physicsbrbrBut I can't stay mad about it because Tekken Tag 2 is a good-looking game Comment from : Shiro Tsuki |
