Thank you for another great video! brOne thing I've noticed is that living in a cold country like Finland is, it's ofcourse not great for Bonsai growing, and even the indoor Bonsais strugglebrAlways when I get a new tree from nursery, I change the soil straight away brThe electrical heaters we use gives a far too dry growing environment and most nursery stock trees have clay or something like it in the soil This turns hard as concrete if you don't change it brThank you for one of the best channels out here! brCheers! Yes I have fungus on bottom of my trunk what is the best funguside to use?? Is bonsai fertilizer good to use? Mine is almost two years old and it's just been transplanted from nursery wick pot to a ceramic 8 inch in bonsai tray with pebble drainage tray underneath So far it's only maybe 9 inches tall Not much growth at all Any suggestions I have pruned lightly and ferilized

Do ficus have to be inside, I live in Texas My porch allows about an hour of morning sun, but no window to give direct sun I know I will have to bring it in the winter Also love all your videos, I watch you for hours and love repeat

I feel like it is kind of impossible to keep a Ficus Bonsai in my Apartment I assume the air is too dry I got kinda cheap ones gifted once (2 of them) Both died within the next 5 - 6 months :(brHe said, that some of them loose all the leaves over Winter, but I don`t think that was the case with mine

Spider mites, bad lighting, and minimal pruning ruined one of my ficus Thanks to learning from Peter, it is alive now and is coming back! I followed his advice along with an insecticide to wipe out the mites and stop them from killing the new growth He's not joking on the light I'm in CO so beware, up here a mile up, the plant WILL burn in afternoon sunlight; too intense Morning light they tolerate Afternoon sun could only work with a filter I think Lots of food, an evenly moist soil (not soaked but just damp), and some solid light and they are much happier Pruning is next for it At last the new growth isn't just suddenly dying

Hi PeterbrAs a fellow nurseryman, to control scale,I suggest spraying 80 to 100 proof vodka on a hot sunny day Simply spray around noon and scale is dead in 2 hours It works by dissolving the waxy cover and dries out the inside This only works in summer, as it does not get hot enough in winter Much safer and more effective than toxic systemic insecticides
