Washing the tires first is like washing your feet first when you shower The dirt will run down off the roof and the vehicle onto the tires and wheels Top down

I’m not a detailed, but I believe those shaggy mits will hold grit inside I use one of those long fibre cloths (marketed as wonder cloth in Australia) Any other opinions on which was cloth is best?

Don’t use buckets soap on the cloth rinse before adding more soap i would not let anybody touch my car if they using bucket period

Interesting but as a 14 yr old who washed cars at a body shop after school, the order of the day was to start at the bottom of the vehicle so that the detergent draining down from the roof etc didn't leave streaked in the still-dirty paint on the lower sides of the doors 🤔

I used the weight of the mitt It did nothing to remove the dirt that had built up For cars that are already fairly clean this might work but not for caked on dirt

Most people don't have a nice climate controlled indoor space to wash a car (tbh, I'm jealous!) They're doing it outdoors If you completely soap up and hand wash a car before rinsing at all, you're going to have a lot of dried soap all over You wash the way you wax, a panel or two at a time

I wash my car with these same instructions and find my car with swirls and scratches in direct bright sunlight Is it common despite best practices ? Is it recommended I just get a paint correction a few times a year ? Might just start taking it to a car wash express at this point lol

Never, ever, ever use a pressure washer on your vehicle!!! If you spray too close to headlamps, tail lights, windows, seals, etc you WILL cause damage Have you ever wondered why headlamps have moisture inside the lamp - well, you guessed it it was power washed

I just purchased a jeep Cherokee Limited 2022 black with diamond fleck I had them put a paint protection on it Today I found 2 light scratches on the hood Took it to the dealer and they buffed them out Also now recommend that I get a ceramic glaze put on the car Said it will help with scratches and such They say black is the worst color to try to keep looking nice So my question is do I really need to spend the extra 1,00000 and get this done?
