When I make a water elevator I don’t make the one that goes down as if your going down long enough you could drown, so I would recommend you actually just place a water bucket at the Bottom of the elevator, sure it make not look as cool but it is way more practical

not only is this bnot/b 'perfect', its actually quite impractical and out of reach for a starter base not sure what you were thinkingbrthis is far more suitable for an outpost, not a basebrand an auto-smelter (not a resource-wasting super-smelter) is far more practical than a auto-sorterbryour design seems to be more suited to someone who wants a temporary remote outpost for resource-gathering for making a very large decorative build but if that was the case, you'd want an item transporter of some sort -those "noisy minecarts" you sound like you despisebri mean, you havent even included a bed, the #1 priority of ANY "base"bri quite like your videos, but this one is ridiculous to the point of clickbait

If you do not want to put 40 diamonds in the items to be placed in the funnel in the chest system, put an object with a special name 11-11-11-11 on 4 sides, put a diamond in the leftmost corner, and 1 will work again

you can use the following layout in sorting hoppers: 1 sorting target item (diamond, etc) and the remaining 4 slots filled with 11 dirt named any arbitrary name, like "oauausdasda" or "asdasdasd"

I use a modpack that includes a storage system (Applied Energistics 2's ME system) so all that space for chests would end up being used for the Autocrafting computer and machinery
