@frank-vq4mx
I am unable to find the setting for the "workgroup" of my TS-219P
Comment from : @frank-vq4mx

@Murphy48rjx48
Also found that the QFINDER will not proceed past the third set up screen in version 514256 - have a called logged with QNAP support but this thing is taking days to set up what a pain
Comment from : @Murphy48rjx48

@Murphy48rjx48
Found out that NAS could not be found by QFINDER if using Wifi rather than capable connection - pretty buggy process
Comment from : @Murphy48rjx48

@markm0559
So what do you do if software does not find the nas tried turning off Defender and firewall but no joy I can see the nas on the gateway?
Comment from : @markm0559

@noizeemama3697
Thank you for this Four years later, the menus have changed but I was able to muddle my way through it with your help
Comment from : @noizeemama3697

@M2008tw
This is one of those products you need but which I hate at the same time – it's engineer masturbation and not made for quick and smart setup It is made unnecessarily complicated Plz clean up
Comment from : @M2008tw

@stephengapper817
Thanks for the excellent videos! Did you ever do one on the Plex Media Player and the QNAP Club, which seems to have disappeared?
Comment from : @stephengapper817

@reverie76
All your videos are pics of shit
Comment from : @reverie76

@pardinijr
I am giving my first steps installing and configuring a QNAP NAS and have seen many videos from you here on Youtube I am from Brazil and (unfortunatelly) english is no my native language I think you would get much more viewers for your channel if you talk a little bit slower, for us (not english native speakers) to understand Thank you!
Comment from : @pardinijr

@slicedpage
OMG "Yes", I thought," get a NAS, you have always wanted one!" So I got a NAS, little did I know the learning curve involved WOW!!! A curve that has been flattened a lot by my new bestest friend Robbie here Thank you Sir
Comment from : @slicedpage

@jdwalz
I'd be lost without you, brother I appreciate the time you take to produce these videos and for keeping it simple for newbies like me

@Soggytiri
Can’t be stressed enough how important mapped network drives are Just set up TS-464 and in the process of transferring data from an old Netgear ReadyNAS 1100 Using browsers and FileStation 5 is limited, with transfers stopping due to file size Using mapped drives, that is, transferring directly from folder to folder has dramatically reduced my stress levels Thanks for your videos!
Comment from : @Soggytiri

@yossigabsu
Great video thank you so much I do have two questionsbrat 13:03 why did you skip the explanation between thin, thick and static?bras per creating a volume, do I have to wait for the sync to complete before I create the static volume?
Comment from : @yossigabsu

@Lanatigrice
Very useful video! Thank you for your help

@erickgonzalez5777
A coworker gave me an old NAS of his so can’t really follow along with the tutorial but do I need the login he created to reset the NAS completely and build my own?
Comment from : @erickgonzalez5777

@goddessoftruth
This is my first NAS set up I chose this enclosure because I was able to get a decent amount of "bang for my buck" I am following the tutorial but I have a couple of questions First, when setting the Nas name and user account name AND PW is it supposed to take a while and hang while doing that or is it supposed to just process straight through that portion quickly? Additionally, since I will be using it with 2 laptops do I have to set up separate user names on each laptop even though I will be the only one using both laptops and accessing the NAS?
Comment from : @goddessoftruth

@rjbubba4335
Hi i just bought my self a QNAP ts-x453d and I guess I did something wrong because I'm getting about 150ea error message a day for whatever reason in 3 of my email How do I stop it or reduce it to only 1 or 2 email message
Comment from : @rjbubba4335

@kontroversus
About the Cross-platform file transfer services - If I am not sure which ones I ticked on the initial nas setup, how do I check now? Thanks
Comment from : @kontroversus

@kmw497
Hi, sorry for a very basic question Is my understanding correct that your QNAP is connected via LAN to the same network as your Windows PC? The Qfinder is installed on that PC, so that it will help to detect the QNAP? Is my understanding correct?
Comment from : @kmw497

@sajeerhajib5881
Thankyou for the video Very useful
Comment from : @sajeerhajib5881

@Percipient4
You are a badass! This made the setup process a lot simpler and more comfortable for me
Comment from : @Percipient4

@wacokidjim1973
As much as I appreciate this walk-thruI despise everything about this product There is nothing more intentionally difficult to setup than a NAS, and I've never wanted to throw a device off a bridge more than my QNAP NASbrI've rebuilt car engines, and have been building computers since I was 8 QNAP is the worst thing I've ever experienced and I honestly don't understand how someone hasn't made a better version and completely destroyed this companybrbrOff A Bridge
Comment from : @wacokidjim1973

@lorageproductions
If we have to replace one of the drives do we have to do the entire initialization of the QNAP again? What happens after replacing a hard drive and also upgrading the RAM to larger?
Comment from : @lorageproductions

@olivierschmidlin9016
Best serie of tutorials ever and really used all of them as step by step approach However I’m now falling into an issue I did the wifi setup at one point in time and now changed by internet provider meaning that I can’t connect to the NAS using wifi I saw some guidelines using a uci usb but was unsuccessful (even if apparently my usb is included in the supported devices) Any hint on how to change the wifi setup? Help really appreciated

@asdf51501
Once again, thank you for the incredibly informative videos I was originally thinking of using Synology, but I think I will likely go Qnap for the plex transcoding abilities
Comment from : @asdf51501

@NeilY1000
RAID stands for Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks not Independent Disks also DHCP is always better as you manage it centrally Just reserve IP's

I am just going to use my QNAP TS-453B-8G NAS for a simple backup of my files, videos and music, and some streaming options Snapshots what is that and will I have that available if I set it to max? Thanks
Comment from : @albinosgambit1877

@RobertMazanik
Hi, nice tutorial, but i have a TS212 without app Storage&Snapshot, any tip for this niec disk management?
Comment from : @RobertMazanik

@mannyteixeira2773
I used QNAP for more than 8 years and finally switch to Sinology because QNAP firmware update is almost every week and who have time to reboot a production NAS every week It’s ridiculous and disappoint that you have to spend most of your time updating Windows 10 and QNAP NAS
Comment from : @mannyteixeira2773

@nadadreamer
dont listen to this ass buy Synology qnap sucks

@TPUSILL
If you have a 4 bay nas (qnap), can you have 2 drives mirror each other and the other 2 disks in JBOD and seen on the network?
Comment from : @TPUSILL

@HerewardDundasTaylor
You mentioned you can convert Thin to Thick but not the other way around However, under the Data Volume Management in my QNAP NAS, it has the option to convert the Thick to Thin Maybe this ability to convert both ways has only become available since you recorded this?
Comment from : @HerewardDundasTaylor

@talalallbeed
I downloaded the torrent file to the download on the Qnap device, can I get the file to upload by itself?
