Hi, my CPU 5600X runs 42Ghz on 1084v and playing Cberpunk 2077 for 4 hours temp never excided 60C Actually never in any game goes above 60C GPU is around 56 - 59C under 99 load I have 16 GB Gskill Trident 3600Mhz RAM and RX 6800 in XPG BATTLECRUISER case MY CPU cooler id DeepCool Castle RGB v2? Is this goodd Should i undervolt or no? Thanks Comment from : @PenX79 |
The tutorial is good, it really lowers the temps, but my 5600x was running at 4000mhz instead of 4650mhz , whiletesting in prime95 and cinebench and ryzen master , never got to 4650mhz, so the temps were below 60celsius but whats the point except that , how do i get more fps with lower speeds? Mine wasn't stable at 1025V but I could get it pretty close! Thanks for the guide, massively improved the temps in my small case Comment from : @georgebaggy |
Uhmm, 5600X uses 75 Watt yours is using 90 I think there is a discrepancy here… So you are not using lower Watt Comment from : @hsntrc-sprxs23 |
I did this and it immediately helped drop my temps on the same processor But the next day while gaming, it went all the way to 100C wtf? I checked my Bios and the settings were still there from the tutorial Why would it do that? Comment from : @MFIepyon |
1:21 i dont have manual mode i only have offset mode what to do? Comment from : @jahndee128 |

use curve optimizer plus undervolting if your board supports that i did it separately core by core use an avx benchmark for stability test if you do not test with avx you may encounter crashes under avx load including games using it Comment from : @charlyb9406 |

What are the consecuences of leaving the core ratio on 40? is it safe for the cpu to be fixed at 4 Mhz?? Comment from : @blackjacket2534 |
My 5600x right after installation would go to 84-86 max on heavy games (cpuid running on back to track max temp); now, after 1 year, if I don't reduce the voltage and clock, it crashes on win boot; I can't even use it in the default settings
br
brI got the voltage and clock lock to 11 and 4000 to reduce the temperature, but it still goes high like before, even a bit higher (maximum 89 on games), but at least it doesn't crash the system
br
brIs it normal that after a year the cooling would get much worse and the CPU would overheat like this? I just cleaned the cooler and the case; it didn't help The PC is alway open Comment from : @ericsilva7430 |
Should I turn off core performance boost off while doing this?br If i turn that off my cpu runs at 35 hz all the time I have ryzen 5600(non X) and gigabyte b450 motherboard Comment from : @abhishekkc489 |
DON'T FOLLOW THIS GUIDEbrbrGod, what an awful tutorial This is not undervolting, this is straight up underclocking your CPU He took a CPU supposed to run at 45ghz down to mere 4ghz, crippling its oeeformance greatly Comment from : @reikixstep |
Hey thanks , my cpu temps have dropped 20-25c :) they were running 70 under load and now 45-50c Very happy Plus undervolted my rx6700xt and only lost like 5 frames in total 😊 Comment from : @SuperShowDowns |
Mine says 1020v should i get it closer to 1v or just leave it? Comment from : @rhys4427 |
Thanks man was running at 75 to 80 now it’s a stable 60c Comment from : @shaqa1874 |
5600x by default precision boost automatically getting 4650 Mhz in game, with latest bios I can see it's around 1231 volts max and min 0187brtemperature 32 - 62 degrees, but I guess I need to refresh the thermal paste And I believe there is possibility to play with undervolting using offset and reduce the temperature Comment from : @A_G_AG |
Lol i did the prime 95 and my cpu max temp is only 564c 😂 Comment from : @KrutGemByte |
hello i have the CPU thanks alot it helped, just a quick question on the power consumption part, while yours says it was 90 wats mine was 78 watts - would that be an issue Comment from : @yambrv4926 |
Hi, its me again I have another question, Can i put on 37 and not 40 ? Is it safe ? I mean decrease the 4000mhz to 3700mhz but keep same votage 1025v Im bottlenecking this cpu with the rtx 3050 so yeah Please reply thanks Comment from : @Aggelos955 |
This tutorial is excellent! After making these changes my 5600x never hits 60c under load and it's running very stable Thank you sir! Comment from : @soljah94 |
thanks, bro I appreciate it a lot, it helped me from 85 temps to 60 Comment from : @MemesNeverDie |
you need also a better air cooler or watercooler to get -10 degres temp Comment from : @ibraxgaming1864 |
Hi, i just copied what you did on the video and i have some questions Is this safe? I mean does it affect my cpu lifespan ? On Ryzen Master the volatge is capped at 11 volt while on cpu-z it is capped at 1024v I"m using the same cpu ryzen 5 5600x If it is unsafe please inform me asap beacuse i did it on my new pc Thanks Comment from : @Aggelos955 |
Did you also undervolt pbo to negative 30-15? Or did u not touch that? Comment from : @chiiv999 |
I undervolt my 5600x cpu like this After 56 days my pc restarts while stress I not remembered this undervoltage thing Now I'm back here to comment Comment from : @asiridhananjaya6336 |
Hi i couldn't tune frecuency in my mb (gigabyte 520m-h) I was able to put 1022 in voltage as you said (couldn't put 1025) Went from 90 c to 70 c in gaming Before i got 33 ghz due to high temps now i got 37 Thank you I got a ryzen 5600 non X stock cooled Comment from : @juanolivieri9798 |
I just happen to stumble across this tutorial I'm not sure if my CPU is behaving normally? If I use CPU-z to bench and compare against other 5600x cpus, I get better or similar results However, under full load, my CPU only used 61-65 watts with SOC at 10V and VDD at 105v I have a 280mm AIO and it never goes beyond 52C However, a lot of people in this comment section say their CPU uses 90-130 watts with 90c temps My CPU in stock default settings never uses more than 82w and gets 70C Is there something I am missing? Or did I just happen to hit the silicon lottery? I actually though I was under-volting my CPU TOO much until I saw this video I am going to push it ever further brbr Update, I was able to reach 0900V with a stable 20 minute stress test at 42 ghz Pushing it even further Comment from : @cesarpalmos8235 |
Is it necessary to set it to 4000 or Can I leave it at Auto ? I want it to run normal and lower if It’s not doing anything Running at 4Ghz always consumes more power and increases temps ? They should add ranges like from 0 to 4ghz offset instead of only auto This stuff turbo confuses me Comment from : @louisedelavalliere171 |
2:12 HUHHH????? Comment from : @arcivi3100 |

Amazing tutorial! Keep it going like you’re doing right now or like you did !!!!! Comment from : @fynnbremer2925 |
So you cemented your frequency to 4GHz and think this is a good idea to lower temps? Try to lower it to 3GHz You will be amazed with the temps! Undervolting my ass Comment from : @mirvama |
i just bought new pc parts for a whole new pc and i was taking a look at my old pre-built desktop computer and my cpu is running at 24V thats crazy Comment from : @Fr3ddyH |

Crap tutorial Comment from : @mkbobomk188 |
Title is kinda missleading, you dont get more fps in games actually, u just lose few dropping lot of temperature its a fair trade tbh, but not really fps increasebrI own 5600x and can recommend disabling pbo limits (basically runs stock wattage ) and setting negative offset curve to -15 This will actually give u fps boost and decrease temperature aswell This should work on most 5600x, on mine i had to manually set offset on each core, because one was crashing with more than -10 offset Comment from : @sakalito |
thx i love tutorials like this for total newbies ;D Comment from : @el_czupakabra |
does this work for ryzen 5600 model too? or just the "5600x" version Comment from : @strikeout77777 |

This actually helped A LOT Went from 81 Celsius to 65-70 Celsius on warzone But for some reason my fps dropped by 10 I was getting 90-110fps now I’m getting 85-95fps Someone please help I got lowest settings on and DLSS onbrbrI have a 3060 12gb GPU & Ryzen 5 5600x cpu Comment from : @Iiiiiii277 |

How to overlclock 5600x Set XMP, set voltage (AMD overclocking ) to 1325v, set multi to 475 all cores, enable PBO, set infinity fabric, UCLK and DDR to 1900 (3600), set Mem voltage to 1395 (dont go above 145 vots, check this with HWinfo), for RX 6700XT, 6750 set GPU memory to max 2150 (make sure you have mem timimgs set to default and not fast) set max frequency to 2780, set Power consumption to max 15 DONE, i get 9100 on timespy for CPU and 13900 for GPU, total score is 13000- 13100 Comment from : @Sizzleator |

Thanks, solved my temp issue here, it was getting 90ºC in Path of exile (WTF) now it doesn't get past 60ºC, with steam, downloads and a lot of tabs in browser, what an improvement! Comment from : @emersonjoaquimm |
I don't know for other ppl, but for me personally, you saved my system Just browsing I would get 70C In most games I would get 85C with a decent fan(not stock) After applying what you just did through "Ryzen Master"(a software from AMD that lets you test any changes you make on the CPU before accepting them) My temperatures dropped, no joke, 40 DEGREES! I did not notice any fps drops, every game I play is on ultra, and my temperatures are FINALLY good 70MAX in extremely demading games, otherwise around 50 Thank you so much! Grazie mille! Comment from : @sherbaxpop5210 |
hello brother thank you for your video :) I had to do your method because during an assembly on davinci resolve I had a crash the computer went out
brNow I can do my nickel editing :) I had overclocked the cpu and it didn't support maybe because I have the original fan?
br
brIf I leave as you show in video will it have a negative impact on my fps? I haven't tried yet ^^brbr5600x with 6600 32 GB 650W Comment from : @Ohm2lombre |

thanks you bro i put 1000 and its very stable before max 69° / after max 44° Comment from : @neverzzzsame |
While its true that this will give much better temps and reduce power draw It is also important to mention that you have just capped your CPU at 4GHz while at stock it caps at 46GHz thats a 15 loss in performance And you have lost power efficiency at low load because you have also capped the minimum frequency to 4GHz while at stock it goes much much lower Basically you´ve made your cpu into an oldchool CPU, slower and less efficient at low loads Comment from : @zuilok |
U HAVE ONE FOR R7 5800X ? Comment from : @11d3x |
