personally, i have been using a Nikon D3100 for a while now, and I have felt that its camera quality was no longer good or as good as before so i sold it off, and im wondering as to which camera to buy now (sony or canon) i like the vibrancy of the photos captured by canon dslrs and mirrorless cams in general though

Canon is still the number 1 selling camera brand I think young people grew up with Sony PlayStation and love the brand I grew up on Canon and have too much glass to switch It’s a workhorse for those who shoot a lot and want great quality photos

Sonys have been overhyped by content creators and recommended like CRAZY, mostly because of their video features People buy what they see, hence why people like this channel are called “influencers” Used Canon DSLRs are cheap, a lot of people bought them and stuck to canon if they switched to mirrorless Still dont see many canon mirrorless bodies outside of hybrid workflows, though Nikon users are crazy dedicated They might be becoming few and far between, but there is a reason they’re dedicated They’re all 3 great brands, I personally prefer my nikons for both digital and analog, although i would love a sony for video work and I have a couple canon film bodies that are a joy to use At this point none of the major brands are really “better” than others unless you are looking for a camera to fill a very specific need, in which case many companies have strong suites that cater to such needs

I flick my d4 on whether it is -18F or 110F and guess what… she pops off every time 14m shutter actuations and still popping

People always look at me odd because I'm die hard Nikon Guy passed me once at an event and saw my camera and proceeds to say "oh Nikon, outdated outdated" I'm minding my business He said Nikon is out of business I was shooting Z7II and Z9 was backordered and I said they're definitely not out of business He shot Sony I think I told him if he thinks my camera isn't as good Let's compare portfolios I stood up off the ground, pulled out my phone and The stuttering and excuses/hesitation began Needless to say camera snobbery is wild to me
