You can make your own plexiglass lid that is much easier to cut and customize, and it's a lot easier to move out of the way when you want to work in your tank Won't break, chip, or crack Comment from : Brent Reed |

STRONGLY suggest the following to anyone out there that's considering cutting their own glass:brbr- Safety goggles (not glasses)!br- Cut-resistant gloves!br- Wet sandpaper or sand the edges under a running tap!brbrThese three simple precautions will greatly reduce the risk of cutting yourself or glass dust getting in your eyes/lungs Comment from : Nick Baysingar |

I’d watch any video with Dean and Cory , Love the natural banter between them ! I’m stuck with a solid plastic lid with the light attached on the underside of the lid I had my husband cut the lid horizontally across, so when I clean and do water changes I can leave the back 2/3 with the light on the tank so I can see into he tank What a stupid design ! I don’t have the tank near a window, on cloudy days it’s sucked hanging clip on lights to the glass tank No top frame He bought the tank for me 😮 So he had no problem doing the lid It’s a 36 gallon bow front Very deep I’m going to put up with it a bit longer But keeping my eye on shorter longer tank I don’t want to invest $100 in a new lid when I’m going to switch out I’ll sell as is, to a taller person than I am 😂 Husband shopped at big box store 2020 😮 , did not want to be a whiner so I just thanked him and set it up Short people have no reason to live , haha Randy Newman song 😂 Nice to have men in the hobby that have all the tools and understand the problems , making videos for us Thanks guys From 5 ‘ 1” woman in Indiana Comment from : jmdq1 |

Seems like a huge cutout just for the auto feeder I think a custom 3D printed attachment that goes on the auto-feeder and can "funnel" the food into a small drilled hole in the lid would be better if you're scared of fish jumping All you'd need is a diamond drill bit And a 3D printer lol Comment from : TexasTakeover |

I wonder if you could replace the small piece of glass with a grate, and have the food fall through it from the auto feeder It would be a bit messier and a hassle to put frozen food in, but it might help with tanks of jumpers Comment from : Dan |
