I believe the CLR (calcium lime rust) remover will clean the detection rods in the boiler so that the water level in the boiler will be correct for each user setting However, the blowing air trick seems dubious the fill level is governed by the detection rods and a slow fill due to blocked filter would have to TIME OUT to overcome the detections (rods in the tank that reach down to several lengths and when water level comes up to touch the rod the circuit is made to the microprocessor signaling the level is reached) corroded detection rods would be the main culprit here so the CLR cleaned the rods for you

I hope someone can help me I was just given a well cared for used one of these My problem SEEMS to be that it brews too fast I've brewed several cups and each time when the brewing is done, there are a fair amount of coffee grounds on the top of the k-cups (actually Maxwell brand) A small amount of the grounds make their way down into the mug and after each brew, I must clean the piece that holds the k-cups while brewing because of the grounds in it I have no previous experience with any k-cup brewers Has anyone ever heard of this problem and what can be done to correct it?

I flushed a clog with hot vinager and baking soda the grinders poured out now works well Vinager will clean and baking soda in hot water will nuterlize the vinager

This work like a charm I completely took the unit apart from underneath the bottom blew everything out with compressed air put it all back together after 10 minutes and it fired right up thank you so much! I have never owned a single cup K cup coffee maker PRIOR to this one, Zero complaints it has worked every single day nonstop 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day for the last 65 years! Completely satisfied thus far great value…

That actually worked! I used a straw and blew the heck out of it and it worked First cycle sounded fought but next started sounding normal again After some coffee I may just run some clr thought it like you did as well Life-saver

i had one of these machines for 45 years and just returned it today for a full refund (gotta love BB&B's return policy) i just could not take it any more so unreliable i wanted to chuck it out the window it's such a great looking machineand when it worked it was great but alas, i got too frustrated and said goodbye
