Thank you! Im new to coffee drinking and i always like to do things "right" I smoke cigars and cannabis and both hobbies have a "right way to do things", and this is coming from someone who did "wrong things" in both of those hobbies for years until i learned Im always down to learn about things, but even more about the things i like Thanks for your help! I drink it for the caffeine to wake up in the morning combined with a hot shower Once it wakes me up I'm done I don't drink it all day If I was drinking something for taste only it wouldn't be coffee Same with beer Decaf coffee and non alcoholic beer makes zero sense to me Comment from : Dick Gozinya |

Keurig SUCKS! Comment from : Clay Tidwell |
That must be why I won't do anything but 6oz/ kcup I was trying to tell the mrs that anything higher is watery I use 2 kcups for my 16oz mug and it's perfect Comment from : l3osscoe |
or you can get the dark or robust pods and keep using your 10oz button The extra water dilutes it just fine Comment from : Sandy Hook |
Found this video trying to come up with a solution for ALWAYS having watered down coffee Smallest setting on my instapot solo coffee machine is 8 oz and the cup is the same size as Kurieg cups i even have a bold setting i try to use but this still seems to not fix it Maybe i need to start limiting the water inside it to do a 6 oz brew other reviews seem to be good maybe mine is defective? Id call about gettinf a new one since it has a warranty i think but being in college i never bothered and ive had it abt a year now and mainly use it for tea but i really wish i could make a good cup of coffee Comment from : Onnika Conner |

Gonna buy the k-supreme and use the six oz setting on strong every time! Maybe do some over ice in the hot summer as well! Thanks for your info Comment from : Royce Hurst |
I used 3 K Cups(4oz) for a 12 oz drink that taste similar to that of the Starbucks coffee in their resturants!😊 It is only around 9 oz afterwards but still okay! Save a ton of 💵 Comment from : Harry Wild |
I just bought a Keurig and noticed that the coffee wasn't strong and didn't like it for that reason but now I'll try to do it on the 6 oz twice Hopefully that helps if not I'm giving the Keurig to my daughter who seemed to like it this weekend and go back to my old coffee maker Comment from : Linda Jo |
I use the JavaJig and Starbucks Morning Joe ground coffee I pack all the coffee I can into the JavaJig and have my new Keurig machine set for hottest and strongest My 8 ounce cup of coffee morning is just about right I agree that most already packed coffee pods make weak coffee You lose a lot for convenience I still can make a great cup of coffee with my $200 Mr Coffee 4 cup resale store machine or my portable coffee percolator that I have travelled with for 30 years They both allow extra ground coffee for a stronger cup of coffee Comment from : David Wilcox |
This was so helpful, we were worried our machine was broken after cleaning the needles Come to find out we were just making weak coffee! Comment from : Brittany F |
My minimum setting on my keurig is 8 oz 😢 Comment from : Louisiana Plantings Fruits and Veggies |

I really enjoyed your video thank you I just bought a Keurig K-Cafe Smart coffee maker which offer a few more settings that make all the difference in the world The machine will let me choose between 5 coffee strengths what it does is, send the water through the grounds at a slower rate to extract more flavor So right now, I'm pretty much defaulting to 8 oz coffee sizes but set on the 2nd strongest brew setting The downside is it takes a little bit longer to finish not much longer but a little bit The upside is I can pull 8 oz's out without a loss of flavor or without that watered down taste If I want to go larger, I can go 12 oz's (2 pods) and if I want a grande coffee, I can go 16 oz (2 pods set to 8 oz on the 2nd highest brew strength setting) all without a loss of flavor So those are pretty much my "clean" options 6 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz I suppose I could pull a 14 oz if I needed to mixing a 6 oz and an 8 oz (set with more brew strength) but why go wonky like that 12 oz & 16 oz sizes that taste just as good as a 6 oz is plenty fine with me Comment from : Rene House |
I think you mean grams of coffee not oz But i see what you’re saying Comment from : Wes Simpson |
Do some have no filter in the reservoir? Mine is just a reservoir without it Comment from : djkenny |
Coffee is 985 water Comment from : ForestCity Fishing |
Just cram as much coffee as you can fit in the reusable pod! How hard is that? You will still have shitty coffee, but at least it is the best you can do in that machine that you wasted all this money on and it is like The Emporer's New Clothes maybe, or maybe just that you spent all that money, but you will have better coffee almost any other way you can make it Comment from : Pia |
I think the key is a darker roast I use 8-10 oz of water and have a nice strong taste Comment from : Bud Smith |
Got distracted What did he say?brDamn it! Joe is HOT! 🔥 So Handsome 😁 Comment from : Michael Shields |

Keurig make great coffee on the middle 80z setting that's nice week at all Comment from : eric anthony |
Keurigs are absolute crap I use them for hot water mostly You can compress more coffee into them and get an 8oz cup but the problem is less steep time French press coffee is the best 5 minutes of sitting in the grinds gives superior flavor Comment from : David Carlin |
Excellent info! Didn't know about those big reuse able pods! Thx Comment from : Susan |
why is the 6oz a tea cup, while the 8oz and 10oz are coffee cups for pics on the Keurig machine ? Comment from : kennyrogersrocks |
Thank you so much Just made a cup over again and the flavor is much more bold Comment from : Shawn Mack |

I’ve had so many keurig systems, from different stores (Costco, target, bed bath) also returned and exchanged Coffee always turns out watery and metallic taste and I always use 6oz to be able to get a “dark” roast but it always turns out water down I would just “live with it” by just adding creamer Comment from : xFaithkeeperx |
thats why i use the pour my own coffee with the reusable filter sometimes comes out perfect other times watered down i use same amount every time which confuses me i chose 12oz, Comment from : Derek Macdonald |
The question I have is why? I just bought one and it has 8, 10 and 12 What's the point of having a 12oz option if it'll be watered down? It also claims it fits a large tumbler (It's also an iced coffee machine as well that brews 6oz to pour over ice) Do they assume that the average American hasn't acquired the taste for a strong cup? Comment from : Catgirl680 |
I cured my problems 4 cup pot in the supermarket $1899 No more overpriced pods and hot coffee Comment from : zatoich1 |
Optimal flow and saturation are other factors involved Thanks for the video Comment from : Streamstriss |

FYI the type of K-Cup or Coffee you use makes a difference too They have bold K-Cup, and the new machines have a strong button, which helps with this issue too Comment from : Osayawe Agbontaen |

Legit just bought reusable k cups because my gf wanted me to try it since my coffee maker broke It sucks Still tastes like water Comment from : Rosco Mcfarland |
You are totally correct, most people don't realize that it says on the box to brew 8 oz (6 oz is even better) Comment from : Ryan |
Using a reusable K-cup isn’t there another brewing option when grinding whole bean coffee; it follows, instead of grinding coffee to medium-fine grind why not use fine ground setting grinder setting; as a result, slow the brew water flow through the reusable cup coffee grounds—-possibly a stronger finished brew? Comment from : John Sherman |
Aren’t you overlooking the fact that the higher your ounce-per-cup setting on the Keurig machine, the more water passes through the coffee grounds—which might in fact even out the strength of the coffee, or even make for a stronger brew? And how would the use of the new five-holed Keurig machines change your results? Comment from : Daniel Waitzman |

My keurig only has 8oz, 10oz, and 12oz options 🙃 I always make my coffee on the 8oz setting, and I'm getting watered down coffee all the time I mean, I drink it without milk or sugar, but I bought it to ideally cut my usage of my Nespresso Vertuo in half, since those pods are expensive I've been doing that at the expense of drinking very meh coffee Comment from : Rolando Vargas |
Keurigs are sh*t That's why Comment from : Starchild11 |
