too many tools for a cloud engineer you will not be a subject matter expert if you want to learn all of them, you need to be a subject matter expert Not just be able to tell a little bit of the concept of everything You need to do a system admin job or a developer job first Before even thinking about becoming a operations /backend/ infrastructure /cloud engineer There is no shortcut Do one at a time, not learn all of them together Comment from : @owenzmortgage8273 |

TLDR:br💻 Learning basic IT fundamentals such as DNS, HTTP, OSI model is crucial to work in the cloudbr🐧 Learning Linux operating system and its administration is important as most cloud environments run on Linuxbr🐳 Learning Docker and containerization is essential for deployment and scaling of applications in the cloudbr🐍 Learning Python programming language is important for cloud automation and hitting SDKs to pull down informationbr☁ Learning AWS fundamentals is important for understanding cloud infrastructure and how it worksbr🤖 Learning DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI is important for automation and infrastructure as code practicesbr🚀 Building projects using DevOps tools, automating deployments using Ansible, and using Terraform to provision infrastructure are key to becoming a successful cloud engineer Comment from : @Zale370 |

Very good video and devices brbrbrBut here is my question How can I use all this stuff without using container orchestration tools? Is it possible to work only with Docker? Building cluster on a cloud or on a hardware uses orchestration early or later You use Docker to build container images or to mount them to use some software like databases not to install them in your system But I started learning cloud engineering from using Kubernetes Docker is ABC of Cloud Engineering You must to know it first anyway brbrYou`re talking about deploying a Docker container (even without mention of Docker Compose or Docker Swarm) on a cloud But what about automating deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications, zero downtime, security and other very important things? Knowing of python is optional and not must have This is for advanced level, when you writhe your own scripts for test or whatever you do for you tools brbrMaybe you want to say that this is a next step in learning Cloud Technologies? And if Yes, what the Cloud Engineer kind are talking about? If you work as a DevOps in at least small business company, there (with a high degree of probability) will be used a Micro-service Architecture And to serve such complex infrastructure, you have to use orchestration anyway brbrThank you Comment from : @itcloudguy |
|
