Hi Terry quick question I want to get the linear power module for my oppo 203 I already ungraded my cable to fiber optic HDMI 21 I already see such a huge difference in picture quality My questions is would I get any better performance if I did install the linear power module from oppo mod? Great Video! just a pity you didn't demo the 203 using the stereo out, before and after the upgrade, as this is how most users will be using it As a transport with a high end DAC like the Chord didn't give the full effect of the total upgrade Hopefully in a future videobr Keep up the good work, great to watch and very informative NB Comment from : nj b |

Great video I'm about to do the same on my Oppo 203 A question: i have read that this stabilizer upgrade has some felts beneath that cause more vibrations instead of less Did you notice this? The felts can be removed easily do you suggest to do that? Thank you Comment from : Luigi De Angelis |

Terry, hibrbrGood work and very helpful I am in the process of setting up my home cinema again after a move Changed from my old Denon 3800 to the Oppo 205 and after reading reviews of the Oppo concerned the audio might be more analytical than I will like So considering power supplies if requiredbrbrWas it just me or did the linear power supply have a little more bite and projection I will have another listen on my pc that’s linked to my office system (small Naim/Sonus Faber) Comment from : Adrian AdrianP |

Hey Terry I just purchased the last restock of the Oppo 205 bdp Waiting for shipment I heard about the Modwright upgrades and what it can do for the Oppo 205, do you think it is necessary giving the fact that I also have the PS Audio Direct stream DAC If I got the mod upgrade should I use this as a preamp going into my PL HP integrated amp with KT150 power tubes? Terry, really glad you mentioned that the original oppo ps was well burned in and that, that has yet to fully occur in the replacement(upgrade) It was very much on my mind you know I also asked about how "new" the Luxman was before (for the same reason) I reckon a certain sweetness and smooth quality can be expected as you continue to use the upgraded OppobrBTW Really like the idea of component upgrade comparison videos👍🏻 Comment from : Marcus |

I will be totally honest the sound does sound better without the DSP and the upgrade on the OPPO sounds better music wise and it’s a shame about the movie content not being allowed on YouTube but what about a music video ? There loads on YouTube just a thought brBut looks like the upgrade on the OPPO might be a worthwhile thing to do but is there not anyone in the uk that stocks the parts without importing them in ?
