Riley was so unhappy when she had to move away from Minnesota to live in San Francisco and she had a hard time adjusting her new life in San Francisco, but honestly, I know what it feels like moving away and having struggle to adjust your new life You see… when I was a baby, I was born in Manila, Philippines and I had lived there my entire life until in 2019 when I was 9, my parents started having plans to move away from the Philippines to live in New Zealand, which I was excited at first, but after a few years passed and I became a mature 12-year-old child, I wasn't excited because I knew that we're going to leave our family and our friends behind and now in January 2023, we ended up moving to New Zealand and we had lived there for like almost 11 months It wasn't easy to live in another country and it felt like I wanted to moved back to the Philippines, but because my parents really love living in New Zealand, I tried my best to get used to living in New Zealand for them and I had started to want to move back to the Philippines when I'm 18 or older, but for now, I'm staying in New Zealand with my parents and my sister Seeing how Riley is struggling to adjust her life in San Francisco, I realized that I'm in a similar situation as her and I know how she feels because I have been through that situation, too Here's some advice, try to accept that things are the way they are, and you will need to adapt your way of living around a chosen location Comment from : Joanne Yu Soon |
