Hi Mike, this is exactly how i do my lavender cuttings , apart from i don't use a cloche/ bottlebr I live in the uk & sadly we don't have any hummingbirds They've always fascinated me & anyone who grows plants that feed them or insects/ bees, is alright in my books & doing what we were put on this planet to do It's lovely that you are spreading the word & showing people how to help beautiful birds & insectsbrIn the uk we have something called the "hummingbird moth" (look it up, u'll be amazed), It's a moth which looks like it has hummingbird attributes ; it has the fast vibrating wings & the long proboscis (inplace of a beak) & it feeds on the flowers in a similar fashionbrSo currently i'm substituting the moth for the real bird, but i feel very priveledged to have something as lovely that visits the " nectar bar" in my gardenbrAnyway, keep up the good work & thanks for a great video Comment from : @heidiedgely9238 |
