Thanks for posting such informative videos My old Craftsman lawn tractor came with a paper fuel filter, similar to the 30 micron shown in the video, when I bought it used Thanks for pointing out that can cause fuel starvation issues on gravity fed equipment I had not considered that I'll replace that first, with the 75 micron filter in your video, to see if that resolves an idle surging issue If not, I'll drill out the low idle jet, as shown in your other video Comment from : Andrew Bauer |

I have a DR Bush Hog (2007) I purchased some fuel filters (paper in clear plastic/AMAZON) and they don't have an arrow for FUEL FLOW DIRECTION The original did not have an arrow either, but I didn't pay attention to how it was connected to the fuel linefrom tank to carb I'm thinking the cap-like top goes to the carb? Any suggestions? Thank you Comment from : Chris R |
Should fuel ideally be filtered before going into an engine tank? If yes, how would you suggest going about that? Comment from : Andrew Leonard |
What is your opinion on the in-line Pyrex glass fuel filter?brI use it on my 283 enginebrI heard different things some people love it because you could see the dirt that accumulates in the filter but others say it wiggles itself loose and is prone to causing engine fires when fuel leaks out of it on a hot exhaust manifold Comment from : Abe Neufeld |
For something like a 2000 watts small inverter generator what would you recommend? My old champion didn't bring a filter at all Comment from : DDX |
how does size of the filter have anything to do with particulate size? Flow rate can be effected by media surface size, more media surface equals an increase of flow So bigger is better The large body has a secondary benefit of allowing particulate and water to drop out Efficiency is also important to understand, not everything is as it seems due to quality issues Also cellulose filter elements can easily be rendered useless when water is present Dirt and water are the 2 biggest issues with small equipment The discussion point of water was completely missed Comment from : Jims NB Homestead |
