This was actually based on the very first ALIEN VS PREDATOR comic book The storyline of the movie set in an underground pyramid and the queen being hooked up to the device she's attached to and being forced to lay eggs I never understood why in the ending credits, it didn't say "based on the Comic book series by dark horse comics" The executives and the producers of the movie never explained it

If you notice later on in the film this queen is MUCH bigger than the one that was shown in Aliens It's because this one is hundreds or thousands of years old
