Heads up; did this to take apart and fix my Vita's loose battery issue, which worked fine Left memory card in the slot, thinking it'd be alright Well, I was wrong for two reasons First, upon putting it back together, the memory card actually obstructs that corner from snapping back into place Second, my Vita is acting like there's no card at all, and despite remembering my wallpapers can't remember any of my downloaded games or images So, basically, take the card out There was also a really small wire that comes undone sometimes when you remove the sides from one another It's easy to miss, but luckily also easy to snap back into place So now that my Vita's fucked 8 ways from Sunday, hope these tips can help others who need to open the case for similar reasons Have a good one! DO NOT use paper tower with electronic components like that, paper towers have small particles that could stick on the chips and damage the internal components and please include a model number in the title, I believe ps vita 1000, and 2000 are slightly different in terms of structure The one you are using is a 1000 Comment from : @jj987987987 |

It's personally useful to me, since the speakers on the Vita are crap, mine are making small popping noises even when the audio is muted I'm planning on buying better speakers and replacing them inside the Vita, because if I send it in for warranty repair I risk getting a new unit back that has dust under the screen or a dead/stuck pixel etc That's my biggest pet peeve and I'm lucky I didn't encounter it with my unit Comment from : @Sukuraidogai |

to conclude battery replacement is easy the motherboard chipset is a fucken beast the cameras dont look like they can be upgraded wish he showed us the screen and speakers but all plastic this time around no umd drive probably eased up the design
