Lemons, in early age, can suffer from fungi and cutting ants Also a parasite plant called Struthantus flexicaulis can thrive so much on lemon trees that it might kill it But these are problems we find here in Brazil, maybe in climates that are colder it fares even better My lemon tree gives so much lemons every year I could never make juice of it all Comment from : @DeyvsonMoutinhoCaliman |

He didn't mention it, but there is a dark mulberry that is long like one of those pakistani ones The skin is firmer and gives more pectin and the berry is shelf stable up to maybe a week in the fridge vs most mulberries that are fridge stable for about 1 day or maybe less I think it might even be the pakistani mulberry Not sure, though Comment from : @buckaroobonzai2909 |

It was very interesting to watch your video I would also add satsuma tangerine, and I would especially like to add about apples There are two varieties of apples that are not in America These are European varieties one of unknown origin is called white pouring, these are wonderful summer apples and there is a variety of winter apples he looks somewhat reminiscent of Smith's face, well, it's not the same thing It's like comparing copper and pure gold the variety was bred by the agronomist Semerenko and named after him this is the king of apples I don't know why American farmers don't cultivate it in Poland and Ukraine, apples of this variety cost about twice as much as all the others one feature after it has been plucked, it needs to lie down for at least a month and it will sparkle with such a richness of taste that it cannot be compared with anything br Good luck! I have 3 out 5 of the trees; apple, plum and mulberry The plum is hit and miss some years, as is the mulberry It's usually because the high winds in NC knock the fruit off before it can be picked Once on the ground they don't last long Fire ants, and birds will get to them Comment from : @rettbull9100 |

I currently have lemon (also lime, keffir lime, and sunkist orange) and mulberry trees in my yards Not a fan of mulberry taste, but damn they're TOO EASY to grow I just cut a decent healthy branch and stick it on a damp soil, and voila! 🌳 Right now I'm still researching for a good tropical/sea level apple variety and barbados cherry (acerola), wish me luck!brAs a person who live in a tropical country (Indonesia), I will recommend these must have easy to grow trees (which I also have/had in my yards) for fellow tropical climate gardeners around the world: sweet mango, banana, papaya, soursop, avocado, crystal guava (the big, super sweet ones), zapota (sapodilla), syzygium (watery rose apple, I prefer the super-sweet biggest green variety), jackfruit, and of course at least one coconut tree (limitless coconut milk, coconut water, and coconut meat!) brIn my experience, these trees don't require much care (in my case, not even AT ALL) and will grant you endless tasty fruits for decades! Happy "self-sufficienting" everyone, may we all live through even a zombie apocalypse!!!br❤❤❤❤❤ Comment from : @LadyVoldemort |

I love Mulberries I live in the US Southwest and they're in nearly every yard of houses that were built in the 60s and 70s About 30 years ago a law was passed that you couldn't plant female mulberry trees anymore because the dark red/black fruits stained the sidewalks but they still pop up naturally from time to time I have two that I don't have to remove because I didn't actually plant them They grew on their own I love the berries and so do all the birds and squirrels My stained patio is worth the enjoyment Comment from : @MDestron2282 |

Great video Thanks Another plus for kumquats, they are easier to grow in colder climates not just because they will survive cold, but because they bloom later than other citrus after the worst cold of winter And they readily produce another flush of flowers if early flowers or fruit are lost for any reason Comment from : @drmasroberts |
|
