Must have tried at least a thousand of these so called "easy as anything" videosnone ever work Cutting dies off, never strikes roots After about a week, the remaining leaves shrivel and fall off and after a month or so the stem goes brown and dies Comment from : Jeff Bluejets |

Will it produce fruit or do you have to graft it Comment from : Thrashers garden |

Putting bags over plants while they're rooting does help and that's what I used to do I've switched to using the bottom half of clear soda bottles (or clear water bottles, apple juice - whatever bottle I find that is transparent) I cut off the top of the bottle, the part that narrows up to the spout I take the bottom and turn it upside-down over the pot It makes a little greenhouse, like the bag does, but it's a little bit more sturdy brbrExcellent video, BTW I've never heard anyone suggest the diagonal cut that includes the notch from the leave node Interesting tip Looking forward to trying it Comment from : vote crosby |

Great video and I will definitely try this out, I did have one question While this does make a clone of the parent tree which will produce true to type, wouldn't it be better to have a grafted plant onto a more hardy/vigorous rootstock? What are the drawbacks to a non-grafted citrus tree?brbrThanks again Comment from : Zeruzio |

You are to be commended for this video I have a scientific horticultural background could I add a couple of things it's only terms that's all the knobs or whatever you them called them are actually nodes at the junction the leaves appear and the reason all except Clematis which are taken between the nodes cutting's are taken there is just below there a high amount of a hormone called Ryzalkaloid that causes the cambium layer to differentiate into Phloem and Xylem hence the rooting but thank you for this shootings video Comment from : Rick Swift |
