Hi thereI'm color matching a silver beige met for a 82 corvette CE and I was at my local paint shop getting some supplies and paint Its a one stage acrylic enamel I'm by no means a pro paintercar restorer yesI was kinda thrown off a bit when the shop owner came over and wanted to shake my hand Ive been a customer for years but he was impressed that I was giving allot of input on the paint and the matching process I needed to change the flake size and the color from what the color code gave me the paint is off so I put 2 oz of silver in a separate container to take back to my shop He understood I'm trying to color match 30 year old paint and that it can take awhile mixing/spraying/mixing/spraying etc to get the color just right brAnyways I just thought I would share this because it can be tedious brgood job GUNMAN and keep up the great work!

hi theresorry for my english :) I have a problem with a paint jobits was a colour change of a mercedes b class , the doors had to be replaced so the owner bought the doors from another car they were grey metalic and the car was an yellow nonmetalic colourthe colour that I paint the car was a light gold I painted the doors separately from the rest of the carall good until they were monted on the carthe problem is that in light the doors have a green reflection and rest of the car a diferent reflectionthe problem I'm pretty sure its the undercoath metalic vs nonmetalicnow if I painted again the nonmetalic undercoaths elements should it reflects closer to the colour on the doors?????

Thank you for the tips! haven't watched this until now I guess i also didn't realize the pearls had a big effect in the tinting until recently Next time my store sends me out to help a customer with a color match I'm bringing a color wheel and a pearl letdown deck with me ha!
