You pay a lot for coins A coin that sells for $100 on ebay costs about $14 in fees to sell You net out $8600 And if shipping is included, you net out even less So, if you paid $70 for that coin, when you include all the time you are spending on it (buying, listing, shipping), you make what, $500 per hour? I think McDonalds even pays better

For $8800 I would of accepted your offer he unloaded everything in one shot, sure if he sold it himself he could probably make a little more but is that extra $800-$1000 you could make selling it yourself really worth it? No it’s not

Definitely extremely fair Especially when you consider he bought the entire collection and paid extremely well in a high interest market paired with a lot of sellers Honestly was surprised he paid as much as he did for some of the cents and nickels I’d love more videos like this!

My personal opinion on your offer, it was acceptable and fair I watch transactions when I frequent shops, whether it be buying or selling I can almost guarantee the seller would have received a significantly lower offer at most other establishments The shops I've seen want a deal thats very much in their favor or no deal at all At least thats what I've witnessed brAnd i haven't seen one invest time in low re-sell itemsbr You are a valuable asset to this community Daniel !

Not to be a negative nancy here, but what happens when you send that collection back and they say something is missing? That's a lot of trust shipping that brLooks like they had some nice coins and if they're selling off their whole collection, what a couple hundred bucks less on the offer? $8,600 is a lot of money to me brThanks for sharing 😀

Great video Daniel Hope it helps more people realize what all buying anf selling coins involves I appreciated our transaction from several months ago - you were fair and honest Could i have gotten moresure, if i wanted to hassle with eBay, online sales, or other, but you were in the ballpark on pricing, we both got good deals, it was easy(for me anyway) and your check went to the bottom line just like cash I think the person you quited should have taken the dealhe's got his work cut out for him now !

This was a realistic as it gets and I think Daniel paid up for a lot of the items like the Morgans and the notes The seller is going to get $6000 tops from other dealers because they will not give much over face on the junk This collection was a lot of junk and I would keep that out of the sale I strongly believe if you have junk or fake coins in your collection the person you are trying to sell too automatically goes into junk modelike what am I going to do with all this junk that nobody wants even if I put it in the bargain bin at my shop

I've said it before Daniel is 1 in a million coin dealer I've never had a dealer offer me a fair dealer It's been forever since I tried selling coins to dealers and I'd be lucky to get 1/2 the value It seemed to be ten cents on the dollar!

The burden of selling a collection like this is understanding and accepting that the dealer is not only buying your coins but also taking on cost and the burden of carrying them in inventory indefinitelybrbrSellers must learn to understand this if they take issue with a lower than expected appraisal There is a cost associated with the burden of carrying the coins indefinitely in their inventory that potentially may not ever sell at a profit

Great report When I look at coins any more I will research the coin that I am interested in to find the value on the market and match it with the dealer price to see if it is a good price to paid for it I know that the price will vary over time and that that Coins Dealers will offer less so that they can make a profit on them as well People need to understand that doing their research will help them to make the most value for their coins when it comes time to sell Thanks Daniel for another great video

Thanks for the video Like anything, if you are going to sell to a dealer, you have to understand that you will loose some value They will need to have some leeway to re-sell and turn a profit As one of your other commenters said, my coins are probably problem coins, but they are valuable to me, mainly for there history If I do decide to sell some of them to a dealer, I know I would loose money, you have to understand that Thanks again
