47 Ronin is one of the worst high-budget movies I've ever seen, and though Keanu is a great actor, he wasn't great this time And imo, Green Lantern was ruined by absolutely horrible cgi - the story was ok, and who doesn't like Ryan Renolds?

Don't really see what other movies coming out around the same time has to do with a movie flopping Like you mentioned Frozen 2 overshadowed Cats because it came out a month beforeA month is a pretty long time and if I had wanted to see both movies, I would have Frozen 2 had nothing to do with it Just because a movie is a musical doesn't mean it caters to the same audience And it seems like unappealing visuals are a big factor in why a lot of these movies flopped, which wasn't mentioned The Cats just looked weird, and the cgi characters in BFG and some of these other movies were just not pleasant to look at Same with that "terminator" looking character in Mortal Engines, which is a movie I never even heard of, but if I had seen the trailer, I wouldn't have gone to see the movie just because that character looks so gross

I know, I know, you are Disney biased, but "the last Jedi" and "Solo" (even though I hated even "The Force Awakens* I saw it for what it was from the get go) It caused such disdain that people will actually call it "Disney Star Wars" just to separate the two They bought the franchise for 4 billion and at least two of the movies were flops If they have managed to shovel the loss under the rug It wasn't from their new franchise standing on it's own

I personally enjoy Monster Trucks While I didn’t know that was going to be a franchise, I’m glad it’s just the one I think the movie ended nicely, and honestly I don’t know what they would story them may have made if they made a sequel And considering the reputation of sequels, it could’ve become worse So I’m glad it’s just the one movie, maybe getting a bad box office gross is a blessing in disguise
