Friend of mine got rich off of Bitcoin He was on silk road but sold all his Bitcoin at it's highest I asked him about getting into crypto and his response was " I made well off of Bitcoin when it came into fashion once it was going out of fashion I sold it and left those late to the holding the crap bag Crypto is out of fashion my and you don't want to be schmoe running around wearying overpriced fashion these days"

Dave made a great point about people increasing the standard of living Most people just want huge, brand new houses, brand new cars and all new things to just impress people Nobody NEEDS brand new things, it's normally a want (with material items) If people just lived well below their means and made smarter decisions with their money, we would have less indebtedness to these huge banks, credit card companies, etc

I know they're speaking in generalities, but I don't know if the core message of some of the politicians their referring to is that the rich have all inherited their wealth It's a much more nuanced argument than that That being said, smart financial decisions are obviously critical, and I wish that school systems across the country did a better job of teaching the basics (I had nothing during K-12) I think we'd all be better off if we had a solid understanding of budgeting, interest rates and compounding before reaching college

In 2019 I made n $800 investment in a certain cryptocurrency, at it's peak in 2020 it was worth $2,500,000 Granted, it's fallen a bit But had I followed Ramsey & crew's general advice on cryptocurrency at the time of investment I'd still be mostly broke I generally love Ramsey's teaching on financial education, but the views on cypto have been limiting people who could have otherwise afforded to take a little more risk Yes there are an crapton of BAD terrible crypto investments I retired at 46yo about 2 years ago I have enough for me to live comfortably In another couple months I expect to beable to say I'm a multimillionaire thanks to my crypto investments Give it another 2-4 years and i'll likely beable to say I have a 9 digit net worth

I like Dave Ramsey a lot I started life dumb and poor I was close to homeless a couple times I found a career path in my 30's, and began to make a little money I never wanted to be poor again, so I was careful not to piss it away I was lucky to marry a like minded gal Without hearing about Dave, we did most of the things he recommends I earned a middle income, but because we were frugal we were able to save and invest our way to becoming multimillionaires I am still dumb, but I am no longer poor

How do you survive with an average income of 60K? That means many American homes are much lower To me that sounds horrific How do you thrive on a job that pays $1500/hr? It would be very hard VERY hard But I believe listening to Dave/Ben can get you on the right track You are your best investment

Our government also gave money to many people who didn’t need it They based it purely on an income amount regardless if you took a pay cut or not If you made $50,000 and still made $50,000, you got money You still had the same lifestyle They also didn’t take coat of living into consideration Someone in Los Angeles needs the money more than someone in Medford, Oregon
