Useless Most of the VRAM heat is dissipated in the other side of the card The backplate barely does anything If this mode improved anything is because the thermal pads replacement Comment from : @enicolasgomez |

What happens if you use a copper heatsink and use several pieces instead of a big one? (i would assume a big block would take heat to unwanted places accidentally and prevent proper breathing) Also, what if you add an AIR OUT cooler on top of it? Comment from : @DavoXDesign |

Firstly 314 wat is Bull shit im getting 100mh with a 3080 and 34 degree the whole card temp junction at 84 and 49 is the hottest sensor also efficiency is at 608kh/s and for 166 wats! fans on 45 or 42 NOT to mention those fans mounted on this card will be dead sooner than it gives out any reasonable profits Best case scenario dead fans for sure Bias aside , if i add that kind of heatsink it would definitely help but my card is Palit 3080 gamerock OC and my mem oc is on 1225 and power is on 46 and core clock is Minus 110 Comment from : @inboxmail8822 |

i solved this by simply add my OLD AMD CPU cooler with aluminium and little fan on it Put some thermal paste beatwen the plate and cpu cooler :) Works supeer Comment from : @Horned26 |

I did the same to my PNY 3090, but instead I used 8 black 40x40 Aluminium coolers with Thermal-Glue-tape and 2x 50mm Noiseblocker fans on the backside I didn’t have to remove the Backplate and stays at 90C Comment from : @jpfranke |

Did you try testing with just the added fan directly onto the memory heatspreader backplate (ie without adding the extra aluminium heatsink) Just curious if good airflow over the backplate alone, provides some good memory cooling benefits Comment from : @gregclare |
