So many clever ideas! Never tried the ziplock haha it's genius I have some cement planters I really love and I've been thinking about slathering them up on the inside with a waterproof sealant to create a cachepot for hydro It's definitely a challenge to find cachepots as you move up in size beyond a gallon pot but this gave me lots of ideas Thank you!

Loved your nursery pot & planter ideas video I saw other videos that shows how to plant in clay pebbles but none showing how to water I'm going to keep your video handy for future reference I was watering my clay pebbles and just putting a saucer under to catch the dripping I didn't realize you were suppose to let your pot sit in the water No wonder my plants were dying Thank you for the information

Loving all of your great videos Two things I want to add The mesh pot at the beginning isn't an orchid pot It's actually a hydroponic mesh pot Orchid pots are usually clear and vented a bit differently with holes or slots And, you can use the glass mason jar for semi-hydro if you are willing to drill a couple of holes in it Two holes, about 1/4 inch and about an inch from the bottom Your water reservoir will sit right below them and you use those to flush the pot It's actually how I have my orchids set up per the firstrays website Happy planting!!

I have put my hoya in semihydro but am noticing the clay balls are turning WHITEis that normal? I repotted just a few weeks ago and the water indicators are showing that they have enough water so I am unsure what the issue is

Does the water have to be kept warm? Just wondering for cold days such as winter time, whether the water's temperature would be an issue as I imagine it might get colder than soil

I filled an unwanted drainage hole in a pot with candle wax and it seems to still be holding water If you ever want to retire the sandwich bag
