I’ve only tried putting a couple plants in leca so far, I’m testing whether it works for me or not, as I’m experimenting, I don’t want to jump in and buy the expensive, extensive, hydroponic nutrients right off the bat in case it’s not for me, will regular liquid fertilizer or the brand “Liquid dirt” work for now you think? Isnt CalMag too much while using hard water ? What makes water hard is Cal and Mag so you are adding another calmag on top of existing calmag in your water Flora Micro Hard Water version has less CalMag inside because they assume people are going to use hard water which is already high on calmag Comment from : M |

This is a great video! The only thing I like to do a bit differently is to have water in the pot while adding the leca I find that it helps get the leca into all the little spaces as well as hitting the pot to knock it all into place It’s especially helpful when setting plants with more delicate or intricate root systems into leca since the water helps to spread the roots out as well Comment from : Charlotte Cobain |
|
