The algae can be avoided by covering the receptacle - not allowing the nutrient water access to light No light, no algae brSome people paint the glass, some just wrap it with cloth or even Kraft paperbr:)

Beautiful video feline 👏🏻brAlgae can be avoided to grow fast if you use an opaque water container instead of transparent or glass container as light helps to grow more if algae

I have plants in soil, leca, and DIY pon I prefer pon the best and eventually will convert all my plants to pon I had my hoya obovata in soil for 9 months and it did absolutely nothing As soon as I converted it to pon, I had 3 new leaves in 2 months I love the stuff Great video 💚

I grow my plants in various substrates - pumice, lava rocks, Lechuza pon and I have 2 plants in Leca(not my favorite substrate) I started over 2 years ago with Calathea, Stromanthe and fernsI now have most of my Philodendrons and other aroids, begonias and some Hoya/ in semi hydro I also use Dynagro as my fertilizer I have found that I get algae build up only in clear containers This video was very informative
