I don't comment often on these channels but absolutely do not lower your cardio, 150 minutes a week min, 300 max brAs long as you are eating to not put yourself in a large deficit, cardio is vital for your cardiovascular health and brainbrOf course don't neglect the weights either! Hi! Your video is so informative and thank you :) I have a question about your statement “we’re smaller so we burn less calories and we have a slower metabolism” I’ve learned in my biology classes that the smaller the endothermic organism (as we are), the greater surface area to volume, which causes the organism to burn off MORE and have HIGHER metabolisms than organisms that are larger because they lose more body heat heat due to the greater surface area I want to understand your statement above because it’s contradictory to what I’ve learned Thanks! :) Comment from : @daisyguadian |

I just recently started at home workouts 2 months ago and I was wondering if I should transition from intense interval body weight training (no weights just using my own body as the weight) to weight training and investing in actual equipment like those tension bands or small weights I’ve seen a pretty big difference just by doing this but am scared if I just keep doing this I’ll start to lose progress or it will only take me so far Slowly I increased the amount and time I workout each week so I’m not just doing the same workouts I started out with and have seen a big change in muscle gain and fat loss Question is, should I stop doing what I’m doing and use weights instead or slowly incorporate weights and if that’s even needed since I have seen a big difference Genuine question, also I did change my diet completely so that’s not an issue I need help with Comment from : @armdick1801 |

Honest question as a petite women Hoe many calories should i eat? ugh us petite women need to work so much harder, don't we? I've been doing strength training for 5 years regularly now (3x per week) and been working on upping my calorie intake (stil a lot of work to do here) and I'm still skinny fat :))) So yes, consistency, mindset, and discipline are everything because progress for petite women is sooooo much slower We need to be tougher but also kinder with ourselves, it's a life-long journey and we really have to turn a blind eye to what conventional standards dictate Comment from : @ioanabd3262 |

girl, not every likes strength training godI have successfully lost weight - in a healthy way - without strength training You don't need to strength train to lose weight even if you are under 5'4 (im 5'2) I know it can help and accelerate the process but it is terrible advice to say you won't make it without this, because the most imporant thing when it comes to fitness is to do a sport you like : walking, hiking, dancing, hiit, running, pilates, bodyweight exercise, tennis, football, basketball, skating WHATEVER the most important part is your "diet", please don't listen to that advice Im sorry it just seems like you are taking advantage of small woman who struggle to lose weight by trying to sell your method even if its not fitted for every petite women Comment from : @noonereally586 |

hi April, I watched a couple of your videos, I can see that you're really knowledgeable and stirring into a right direction with a proper mindset, and that's why I feel really bad saying that what I want to say and I kept thinking if I should leave this comment or not, but well, in my opinion you absolutely have to swap yourself as a face of your petite women program to someone smaller and fitter than you you might be an amazing coach and nutritionist but you're such a bad example of a toned and shred body, you have curves instead of muscle definition and that's just not what most people are looking for when they scroll through fitness related videos you might not like my comment but I'm sure you'd have had twice more clients if only you looked differently however, that is my perspective, and I'm a big and loyal fan of Jillian Michaels' approach, I've been following her recommendations and workouts for years, I've been seeing great results ever since and that's why I stick to it I just love watching - well, more like listening - different fitness related videos, I let them auto play while I stretch, and yours popped up one time it made me curious since you were presenting it to be made for petite women specifically, but I didn't find anything new for myself, I was more like disappointed, I guess, and I felt like I needed to leave this here for you maybe my feedback will be the last straw that will make you rethink your own workout/diet program Comment from : @elizabethvaltman6939 |

Even though I’m on the tall side (5’9) using a macros calculator and tracking macros day to day was such a game changer If you work in an office building it’s so easy to snack and eat whatever office goodies they have, especially around the holidays I realized I need to aim for 130-150 grams of protein each day, and when I hit at least 110 grams I don’t snack nearly as much It helps with cravings and I just feel so much better without all the sugar and nonsense foods Having real whole chicken, fish, eggs, and veggies makes me feel so much more energetic than coffee or red bull ever could Comment from : @remyd4795 |
